Sweet, Fired you an email....
I have my Wii, but I am commited to assiting people to get their wiis until everyone who wants one can get it.
you'll be doing that for a while
I got my Wii at TRU. I was 7th in line (got there at 2am). The # 1 & 2 people had been there since 6:00 PM the previous night!!!!!
Sign was posted that they had 15. By 5:00 am there were well over 15 people in line.
They came out at 7:30 am and told everyone they had 16 not 15.
They brought us in the entry to keep us warm at 8:00 am.
Had my Wii by 9:10 and went to bed.
I got one!!
I figured since it was really cold here last night (CT), there wouldn't be that many people camping out, so I didn't get out until around 7. Checked Target, and there was a pretty long line. The Circuit City was supposed to get 30, and there was 32 people outside, and I didn't think to ask if any of them were for PS3's. Toys R Us had one of the longer lines, but remembering that some people here had mentioned local TRUs having about 90, I went with my first instinct and got in line. It was about 8am at this point, and my GF went to Dunkin' Donuts to get us coffee. Around 8:15 a few more people filter in behind me, and I hear them talking about Target...apparently they had 30 Wiis, and gave out 42 tickets, "just in case"...obviously, there were some unhappy campers...and I started to get worried. Then someone mentions that TRU said there were 50 Wiis in stock...theres a few more than that ahead of me, but I"m not sure how many of those are together, so I hold out. About 8:25, the manager comes out and announces they'll be handing out tickets and we can come back btwn 9 and 11...after 11, any unclaimed Wiis will be sold to whoever is there. So I follow the line up, not sure if I'll get a ticket, and then it comes to me, and there's one in my hand...number 48 out of 50. All said and done, I only had to stand outside for about 20 minutes or so, and I got one!!! It's great...Wii Sports is finally a game my girlfriend will play with me...hopefully everyone else had good luck too!
Thanks to everyone in this thread for the helpful info, it kept me from saying screw it and giving up until Jan...to those that didn't luck out, keep at it, you'll catch a break soon.
got to circuit city at left for circuit city around 6:10, got there and lined up and 6:30.
i was 11th in line, until the store opened at 10am.
they handed out 42 vouchers for wii's and now i am happy for now.
this thread has really helped. Thanks.
my circuit city didn't hand out voucher, simply turned everyone away. even a voucher would be nice knowing that you'll be able to pick up one when shipment come in.
GS said shipements this Friday.
Friday...Im going to be screwed but nasty one ILL HAVE WII ON FRIDAY!

my mom said shes getting me something white and small today... shes saidd i can use it today... do you think...
Hey, I'm in the philadelphia area and I was wonderimg if anyone knows is the instore shipment dates are the same all over the US. Or if anyone knows about what day new shipments will arrive in this area. I would really appriciate any info.
Seeing as so many people have actually gotten the Wii today, I'm thinking this will thin out the line at Wal-Mart Wednesday and at GameStop/EBGames Friday.
Also, has anyone thought of calling the lesser known Wii retailers for restocking info (e.g. Sears, KBToys). I called KBToys and they said they never received any in the first place, but this was before Black Friday. I'll try calling again now.
Sonic 65, KBtoys is not on Nintendo's primary list. They never did, and will not recieve Wiis until the new year. Same goes for Sears.
I'm glad for everyone this thread helped get a Wii today, (including yours truely).
An update for the still unfortunate:
Wednesday Dec 6 at 8AM, wal marts will be doing a random lottery drawing, and they will have 3+ per store.
Gamestop/EBgames is slated to get another small shipment via UPS this friday, the 8th
Went to Target (They had 80) and were sold out by the time I got there. Then to circuit city (Got 23) and were also sold out.
I managed to get my Wii on launch day (1st in line at circuit city. total wait time = 21 hours). But my friend wants one. She is still wii-less. =[
So wal-mart will be getting some Dec 6? And EB Games Dec 8th?

Yea, by 4 o clock, my line was full, and over 150 people were turned away.
@Kasaioni
It looks like EBgames is possible on the 8th, but Walmart (at least 24hour), is definite on Wednesday.
Got the Wii, thanks, sc7 and everyone!
5am CC 3rd in line. Fun people and a good time was had. I think there were 60 in line by 7am, more than a hundred by 8am. Vouchers handed out at 8am for 40 Wiis. At 9:50am they let us in through another door ordered by voucher number. We picked up our Wiis and games and they had the registers ready to go. Very organized and efficient.
Thanks again for the great information!
Here's my story: I called 2 targets and 2 CC's yesterday. Target wouldn't say how many they were getting but were expecting people to be camping out. Both CC were expecting less than 10. I call TRU around 1:00. A very nice young lady said they didn't know for sure if they were getting them. She told me to call back last night around 9:30 to see what the truck brought in. I call TRU and they said they would have them, but didn't know how many. My son (11 years old) and I get up at 4:00 this morning, drive 1 hour to Lexington, KY to our nearest TRU. Already 5 people in line. The group outside said TRU had around 40. I'm thinking things are looking good. We get in line, slowly more people show up we all hang out together in the cold. At 7:00 the manager comes out and gives us tickets. We are number 6! We go to McDonalds for hot chocalote and we talk about our good fortune. Go back to TRU around 8:30. The line is very, very long. The manager comes out around 8:50 and says "if you do not have a ticket, there are no more Wii's available". Lot of disgruntled people start leaving. (Here's a side note; earlier when the manager gave out tickets, she offered one to my son too. I said no, he was with me. Then later, when I see all of those people leave without tickets, I think I could have made some easy money selling our extra ticket. But, when I saw some young kids leaving with their parents, I would have probably given them my ticket and simply said "Merry Christmas, pay it forward"). Anyway, the ticketholders are led to the electronics. They have a bundle. The console, Marvel U.A., and a controller glove for $289. We get that a stand and some toys for my niece. My son goes to sleep on the way home. He's playing Wii Sports now. It was worth it all. Thanks to everyone on this board for all the helpful information. For those who didn't get one, Walmart 12/6 is definite. They're open 24 hours so go get in line tomorrow and take a sleeping bag. Merry Christmas to everyone! By the way, if you believe in Karma, I put some money in the bucket for the Salvation Army outside Kroger yesterday....you never know.
S.Fla target at 6:25am had 40+ people in the line. 7:00am CC, they had only 8 in line. The first 5 guys got there at 5am. Sign on the door said they had 42 Wiis. What a freak'n relief. People coming after said there was a line of over 100 at BB and TRU. Manager handed out vouchers at 9:20am, good until noon that day. No remotes available when I bought my Wii.
Thanks to everyone who has shared info on this thread. Especially the guy who posted the CC inventory info. You were right on the money!
Anyone here from Canada got any info?
