I finally got my Wii today at Target. The Target I went to only had 24 and they handed out vouchers.
CC had 21 just as previously posted. I got there at 6am and waited in the car until 7 when the line started to form. Jumped out and was 3rd in line. They passed out vouchers for some reason 10 mins before opening. The crowd was friendly and the 4 hour wait went pretty quickly.
As any FYI, Best Buy had none, Target 6 and TRU about 50 from what I here. (SE area of Houston)
Thanks for everyones info and congrats to those that got one today.

The blizzard must have screwed the shipment up. Anyway, I'm not looking again. I'll just be waiting for my Wiis to come in at Circuit City & Gamecrazy. I can't take waiting in the cold like that anymore.
wait time: 2.5 hrs, target opened an hour early
Its tough for me to get to a CC/Target/Walmart since i'm a commuter and just take the Subway everywhere. No car = no fun. Seems like a lot of the info was correct though. Hopefully we'll find more info about next weeks shipments. The nearest walmart is outside the city (boston) and i dont think i can make it there and then into work ontime. Doh.
An update for the still unfortunate:
Wednesday Dec 6 at 8AM, wal marts will be doing a random lottery drawing, and they will have 3+ per store.
Gamestop/EBgames is slated to get another small shipment via UPS this friday, the 8th
is it confirmed that all wal-marts will do a random lottery? i called the one near me and she said she didn't have a clue how they'll distribute it, but just confirmed that they're readying for the 6th and that they had "less than fifty."

This was what the lady behind the counter told me. It seems a chain like walmart would all do the same. (I inquired this Saturday night, before I got my Wii at Target.)
now i just gotta get that damn PS3 and im set

Yes, the lise posted was not very accurate for me either. Oh well I guess thats the how the game is played!
Got up at 5:00am, headed to Wal-Mart (electronics mgr said they would have 37 Wii's on sale at 8:00. Upon arriving, I was informed that corporate had blanked the Wii SKU and instructed all stores that no Wii could be sold until Dec 6th. - No worries, Target, BBuy, CC, EB and TRU are within a mile of Wally World.
Passed Target at 6:00 - 3 folks in line, looked promising, but went on to CC with the intent of starting farthest out and working back in. 10 folks or so in line, store had 15 Wii's, confirmed. Great! (But to wait 4 hours in sub 30 degree temp was iffy as CC didn't open until 10.) - Off to Target, which opened at 8. By now there were 7 others in line, so I staked a claim. At 7 the store manager pops out and says they had 24 Wiis. Excellent! About 10 minutes before store opening he gave us all a 'ticket' good for 1 Wii and led all 24 of us (many were turned away, should have been there sooner!) to the back before the store opened. We were allowed into the game area to make our selections of games and accessories (extra Wiimote and Nunchuck ftw). So after finally getting my goodies, I went on and scouted the rest of the area. Here are my findings for the area:
Circuit City - 15 Wii's
Best Buy - No Wii's
Walmart - 37 Wii's - On Sale 12/6 8am
Gamestop - Had Wii's on Friday, sold out in less than an hour
Toys R Us - 20 Wii's - gone by 9:15am
Target - 24 Wii's, gone at 8:00 am
With the exception of Best Buy today, the info here is pretty accurate! Thanks to all for this thread!
) For those who are stilll trying to get one, keep your heads upand thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread and all the information regarding wii's and stores and sightings and so on, wouldn't have gotten one without your help

So I get back at 9:30 to pick up my Wii, after getting something to eat and warming up, and there was another line. People were lined up thinking that they could get there 30 minutes before the store opened and get one! Ha! Anyways, the store had 31, reports on this post said 42m so it was a little off. Didnt matter, get me Wii!!
Yea, a few hours before crunch time, we actually ruled Best Buy out. However, it was too late for many people unfortunately. We had some faulty info that lead us to suspect every Sunday is a pattern. Still nonetheless, I do agree with you that everyone who contributed here really did prodivde us with very good/acurate information that lead us to get our wiis, let's hope for the few that missed it, they will get the info they need to obtain their consoles.
