Ya...so for this week does anybody know whats happining?
According to my Gamestop for those of you who didnt get one and your local EB/Gamestop didnt get any last week he said they might get them Monday but he wasnt sure because he said he has the email saying they were suppose to get em last week and never got any so hes thinking maybe Monday if not then it appears Friday is good for them. Then you might also see the same stores doing the sunday re-launch deal again if they get any shipments
i got my wii this morning. holla.

arrival time: 4:20am
place: toys r us, athens, georgia
position in line: 1st
line length: 25 people
# of wiis: 9
cargo: 1 wii, 1 extra nunchuck, 1 extra remote, zelda
departure time: 9:45am
conclusion: OWNED
Ah yes... I received my Wii by reaching Target at 5 in the morning (mine had 60 O_O) It was quite the adventure with 5 of us and only two buying wiis. Because they used a ticket system we sold the extra tickets for the people with us who weren't buying for 100 bucks a piece. Big Grin This one creepy mother offered us drugs though....She asked if we wanted to smoke and said she had top of the line K-Rocks in her car. After denying her offer and doing a little research we learn that she was referring to Ketamine. Ketamine is a powerful anesthetic, narcotic, and anti-depressent. Some side-effects include lack of breathing and o0ut of body experiences. There are crazy people out there

Anyway, even though I have my wii, I will still post here for you guys with more information

I don't think I'll have to wait much longer. My CC didn't get them because of the blizzard we had. Here's hoping I get a call at 10am tomorrow saying they have my reserved Wii.

I hope everyone gets one.
Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for all the info. I got my Wii this morning at target as well. They had 51 Wiis and 8 PS3s, and i was second in line...and now im addicted to playing madden 07 and zelda haha
Does anybody know if the Walmart shipment date is confirmed for Canada as well? I went to Walmart, BestBuy, Future SHop, EB, EVERYWHERE...nobody had anything...and I stayed up all night for nothing =(...made me sad...but yes...any idea's? I'd like to know...before I get my hopes up, again.

Thanks!
Does anyone know of any weekend releases for December 9th? I arrived too late to Target and Circuit City today.
i heard 4 million systems already sold global wide. lauch day in japan sold 400,000 and nintendo will try to sell 6 million by the end of the year. funny there were guys looking for ps3 this morning where i was waiting. i was early enough, CC just didn't have the shipment like they promised and did not hand out raincheck for those who waited in the cold....including me. so hopefully my walmart will have lots of it on the 3rd...or it's next sunday. the quest continues....
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for all the info, it helped me a lot...been lurking for the past week...

I went to my local Target in SoCal around 545am, and was the 15th person in line...they had 57 Wii's avaliable, but by 710am they had to turn away about 15-20 ppl.

Thanks again, and good providence to those still in search.

I think this info is horribly wrong. Am I right?

Been lurking here for about a week and figured I register & share my story...

So I drop by Target at 6:30 & see that there is about 30 people in line and figure not to take the chance there, even if they opened at 8. I decide to go to Circuit city, and notice there seemed to be about the same amount of people in line, but I knew CC was going to have at least 40 Wiis. I get to the line and they tell me about the sign in sheet up front, where I find I am #24 in line. Around 9 the Manager informs us they have 38 and he starts to read off names from the list and hands out vouchers. By that time, there are well over 50 people in line. After I get my Wii, I head home, watch some some football and decide to catch up on some sleep.

Thanks to the info I got from here I was finally able to get my Wii!!!
I think they had a target of 4 million sold worldwide by the end of Dec. So far according to NexGen Wars they've sold 1,151,262

http://nexgenwars.com/

Could easily hit their quota if they keep them in stock.
really happy to be done with this whole finding a second wii business. arrived at the nearest target at about 4:50 and get in line (first in line, because some people were in their cars), and an immediately joined by a couple people. we stand around for a while, occasionally having a few more join us, until around 7:15 when they hand out vouchers, and tell us that they have 42 wiis. there's only about 32 in line. what's funny is from there another 58 people come, hoping for the wii at the last minute.

lots of people trying to get a wii out of the managers when they keep telling them that they have no more than 42.

also, yeah, like some other people have mentioned, no wiis at best buy. really glad i decided to go to target instead.

good luck to all of you! if i find out any information about another shipment i'll be sure to post about it.
thanks everyone here! Finally I scored one Wii this morning at Target. I would never be able to get one without the great help here!

Then, I played like 8 hrs of Wii. SO MUCH FUN!! Big Grin
Sounds like Target got a good amount of Wiis (30-40+). Maybe I should have stayed at the Target I first stopped by before going to Circuit City. One of the reasons why I wanted to go Target in the first place was because they opened at 8
But...what about Canada? Anybody know of the shipments? Please...It makes me sad how all these people gloat about having theirs...and yet...nobody even had any yesterday in Canada (that I could find...). Please, any info would be appreciated!
I talked to the manager at the Wal-Mart near me and he said that they would do a first come first serve line. This was several days ago, so that info might have changed. If you're trying to get one from Wal-Mart go into the store and ask to speak to a manager, that way you know for sure.

On a side note, I go to pick up my Wii today from CC.. YAY!

The manager of Walmart doesn't like me a lot ever since the PS3. It's because rumours started about people within Walmart having some put on hold for them (there was 4 PS3's at my Walmart...but it was schedualed for 6). Someone comes out later on in the 2nd night of waiting to tell us that people 2 people from McDonalds (there's one within our Walmart) are getting them before the store opens. Me now knowing that there's suppose to be 6, and only 4 are for sale, I go and question the manager about this in a very polite tone.

First of all, his little co-manager barely spoke english...and he wouldn't let me talk to the actual manager...at all. It took about 15 minutes of this guy telling me the same things over and over again (which was all BS, but oh well) until I finally got to speak with the manager.

He was even a HUGE prick to me...denied everything and laughed in my face.

So yes, I hate Walmart managers..

Success!
Again I'm in Gaithersburg, MD. TRU had told me they'd have 50 on Sunday, and they did indeed! I was number 27 getting there at a reasonable 6:30am. There were 50 people by 7 and they gave out tickets at 7:30, saying we could even leave and come back any time before 1pm to get them. Half the people left, but I stayed, hoping to get one of the few extra wiimotes, but no somehow a lady not even buying a wii got in front of me and bought the last wiimote! So I'll probably stop by Walmart on Wednesday to try to get one.

Targets around here only got 10-20, the people in front of me in line had already been to a Target where they were number 11 out of 10, so TRU was really the place to go. They even let us sit in the closed in atrium area, so it was nice!

Played Zelda and Wii Sports all day. Very nice.
