Figure I'll pass on my Wii finding info... Arrived at Target at about 6:45a... was 4th on line...
The store had told me the night before on the phone that their shipment would be delayed until MONDAY morning. So, being 4th in line made me think maybe they wouldn't be getting any.
I drove by the nearby Circuit City and Toys R Us to find lines of 50+ people at each. CC was set to get 24 Wii/TRU set for 30... So, I just headed back to Target.
At about 7:05a they handed out tickets for the SIX Wii's they had. I was #4. Really lucked out there... still couldn't believe that my Target (which rec'd nearly 100 at launch) only had six consoles.
Anyhoo... It was because of this thread that I learned about which stores should/would be getting Wii's... Again, I want to thank you all for making this last week and a half a lot more fun, and A LOT less frustrating.
Congrats to everyone who found one, and the very best of luck to those still searching.

TRU had 9
CC had 15
Target had 10
BestBuy had 0
there were 14 ppl at circuit city when i arrived at about 4:15am, so i went to Toys R Us where there was no one, and i was first in line. Target also did not have a line. ppl started showing up at best buy after TRU, CC, and Target lines were full, haha but they got turned away by the manager at about 8:00am. LOL PWNED

Any news on the Best Buy Wii's shipment? I have a BB about 2 minutes from my work so i can check back frequently. Does anyone know why they ended up not having any at all this weekend. I was pissed when I woke up and saw no Wii in the sales flyer! Wish me luck.

Just a lil extra info on tidbits...
I stopped at a BUSY CC today before lunch just check'n out supplies to report back on. They had a BOATLOAD of games....at least 4 or 5 of each game released. I picked up Zelda and Splinter Cell and an extra Wii-mote
So it seems that supplies should be ok, unless I just got lucky and they just unpacked a shipment. Maybe I should've bought more...LOL

Thank you so much, This thread is the reason I got my Wii yesterday.
I would also like to speculate that Target, Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R us all get shipments on Sunday. I only verified that Toys R Us and Target received shipments yesterday.
This seems to fit something I read about semi-weekly shipments. Major retailers get them on Sunday, Other retailers mid-week.

As far as Best Buy not having them this weekend, I woke up at 5am to check their flyer to see if I needed to camp out, when I didn't see them I went back to bed. Maybe they just didn't have Wiis at all the stores, so they couldn't include that page.
Or they didn't need to advertise because they would be sold out so quick, and they didn't want to deal with angry customers.

Oh trust me, they want to attract as many of those "angry customers" as they can.

I was in my spanish 3 class when circuit city called and left a message. They said they had the Wii I had searched so hard for.
After all my classes were over, I went by Gamecrazy to check out my Wii preorder and buy some games with credit I have from trading in my 360 & gamecube. Well, Gamecrazy in Columbia has only gotten in 10 Wii's so far and only expecting 4 this week. I'm #20 or something, so it might not even come in until Christmas. It makes me glad I searched and waited to get one earlier. Now my wife & I can give the extra one to her mother (she really wants one).
Gamecrazy didn't have Zelda or Rayman, either, so I bought Excitetruck & Madden 07. Then I went across town to CC & picked up the Wii. They didn't have Zelda either, so I decided to pay Toys R Us next door a visit. They have been nice, even if they neglected to tell me they were opening at 9am yesterday. TRU had Zelda & Rayman, so now I'm good.
Thanks for all the information & camraderie from everyone on this thread. I'm now going to hook it up & play the crap out of it.

If you are looking for zelda, you may be able to pick up a zelda with free strategy guide. If your local bestbuy provide this "nintendo wii guide book", there is a coupon in the back that says buy zelda and excite truck, get zelda guide for free. since it did not specify which guide, i got a premium wii edition zelda guide for free (facevalue 20). eventually i returned excite truck, cause all i wanted was zelda. so if you still have not yet buy zelda, check it out at bestbuy. coupon good until next year.

For those of you who live in CA, try Craigslist.com. I posted a message saying I wanted a Wii under $350, and got a ton of offers. I finally got one at $300 with Twilight Princess included! It took only a day. I posted on Saturday night not knowing I would have the Wii tomorrow...

What sort of chump would sell a Wii and Zelda for $300? That's a bloody steal!

For those of you who live around NYC, here's some info...
I live outside DC, and have had no luck. Even the big TRU by me only got 35, and people starting waiting at 6pm Saturday night. I also had no luck in the NYC area the week of Thanksgiving. I was getting very discouraged about getting one before Christmas.
My dad works in NYC, and I asked him to take a look at the Nintendo World Store and the Times Square TRU since I had heard they get big shipments every day. He went up there this afternoon around 4pm, and the Nintendo store was sold out. But they told him that the Times Square TRU just got some in. He went back there, and found a line of ~100 people. He got in it, and was given a voucher less than an hour later. By the time he got to the counter, he said there were a good 150 still sitting there. When he got out, he said the line had grown to ~200 people.
He probably just got lucky, getting there at the right time. But if you live in that area, it might be worth a try. They supposedly get shipments every day, and since its the biggest TRU, the shipments are big.
Good luck!!!
Finally got my Wii!!!
