Heard Walmart was getting some in this morning.  So last night I went to check out the line and there were already tons of people ready to camp out. =[  I guess my friend will have to wait for her Wii.

Went to walmart at 4:30 am. The manager came out and told everyone that there is at leat 30 wii's. I was #27. At 8:30am they start letting 1 person buy a wii at a time. After the 20th person, the manger came out and said, "I appologise, we only had 20 wii's on sale. Were all sold out."

F*CK!!! I spend 4 hours in line and got no WII!!!
I feel ya. Here's my story.

Tuesday around 5 I broke my fibula where it meets at my right ankle. In other words my driving foot. So anyway, I begged my mom to come with me and drive, after a while she agreed. On the way home from the hospital we stopped at Wal-Mart to ask how many they had. They told us six. Around 2am we show up as fourth in line, and I can't beleive my treasure hunting is coming to an end. The wait kind of sucked because my ipod ran out of battery and neither of us thought to bring a blanket; so it felt like my my toes that were sticking out of the splint were gonna break off.

Time passes, I'm bored out of my mind, ect. Around 7 someone comes out to hand out tickets. THREE TICKETS. THEY ONLY HAD 3 I WAS NUMBER 4. So for the next week I'm stuck at home suffering through daytime tv while my leg hangs in the air. Someone shoot me.

Oh, well. There's tons of people worse off than me. The fact that I can afford one says that much.
I too am still wiiless... I told my mom to try walmart as they were getting them today and circuit city whom I heard in my area has a warehouse full of them. Well, I come home from school just to hear she had gone to gamestop and EB games... very unlikely to have over 10, if any. Sad Good luck everybody, I hope we won't be disappointed too much longer... Smile
thanks to all the great info on this thread i was finally able to get a wii.

i went to my local (kahului, Maui) walmart at 6:am and was 9th in line.  we had to wait till 8am although the store was open at 6am... by 7am there must've been 40+ people waiting and only 30 wiis in stock.... sad to see so many turned away by management.

anyway, thanks for the help in finding my wii.  cheers.
i'm dissatisfied with my local wal-mart. i called three of them and they confirmed it was first come first serve. i decided to go to the one near my place and called them last night to re-confirm and that was at around 9. i got there at 4 a.m. this morning and was told that they did a raffle around midnight so the ones already in line were guaranteed a wii and everyone else who came the same time i did were turned away and i'm pretty sure more were turned away later this morning. a lot of them were angry to say the least since they were told it was first come first serve, too. one even spoke with the manager at around 10 p.m. and yet 2 hours later they do a raffle. ?_?

on a different note, those who are still wii-less (like me) should contact their local targets. i called mine an hour ago and they said they received two yesterday and quickly sold it. they told me they might get another shipment later today or tomorrow.
Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks for all the help, I've been lurking the last couple weeks as I tried to find a wii. I managed to score one this morning at Walmart in Austin TX, yeehawww!!!!

After much discussion between myself and my boss (he's very cool), we went to Walmart at 1 AM and were 9th and 10th in line. We knew beforehand that they had 30 available so we were good to go. It was a very fun night, most of the people ahead of us in line brought their DS's, so it was 7 hours of multiplayer mayhem. Not a bad way to spend an evening IMO, and we watched as the line filled up. The 30th person arrived some time around 4 am, and by 8 there were around 60 - 70 people there.

At 7:30 they handed out vouchers for the first 30 people and at 8 they let us in and we bought our wii's!! It was a great way to get a wii and I am very glad we did it. I would advise anyone thinking about it to go very early and have fun all night. Good luck to all of you still seeking a wii, as soon as my kids get home from school I'm hooking that sucker up!!!

I've had two bad experieces with trying to get a Wii at Wal-mart. The first was on launch day. The second was last night. I called the closest 24-hour Wal-mart (about 25 miles away) and was told that the Wii would be available at midnight. When I got there I knew something was wrong since there was no line. A sign in the electronics dept stated that the Wii would not be available until 8 am. Rolleyes

I've been following this thread for a while, and thanks to everyone who has given help. unfortunately i've broken down and am reverting to paying a little more on ebay. I've been trying to get one since a couple days after launch day (played my friends and got hooked).
I went to walmart today, after the tip (which a lot of people seemed ot get luck with) but they haven't gotten any since the 2nd shipment.
Bah! I'm still kind of hoping I get outbid, though, and get one in a third shipment...
Gamestop.com has nunchuks and classic controllers for sale. Ships in 24hrs, so claimed.
ebgame.com have nunchucks, use code SAVER to save on free shipping.
I personally am still having a hard time believing people are camping 24 hrs 3 weeks after launch for a system...I have seen several online (put my credit card in just maybe 1 minute too slow today at Circuit City) and I would think that it shouldn't be this big of a deal...I just hope that you guys on here are able to get yours instead of people just getting them to go on Ebay, which I know happens more often than us real gamers would like.

Anyways, good luck everyone, I'm trying to get my brother in Missouri to go hunt for me, but he isn't too happy about it hahahaha. I hear that one of his friends camped this morning at wall mart for 6 hours to get one *from 2am to 6am...but I don't know any details beyond this.

Good Luck All!
I've personally gave up on the hunt. I guess I'd go and see if there are any everytime I set foot in a store. I also called up my brother who gets lunch hour between 11 and 12 to check the EB close to his house. Due to my work, I can only go wait inline on weekend mornings. So....happy hunting through the holiday.

Try Craigslist, as well. Saves you the postage and saves the seller the ebay and paypal fees.

I'm trying to avoid paying the Wii scalpers, but time will tell.

I finally got a wii after so many disappointments. I ordered the expensive gamestop bundle...but this morning I got one after going to walmart at 3am and got the 5th ticket for a wii they had 30 (saddlebrook, nj)
Can anyone yet confirm Wii at Best Buy this weekend? I didn't even try Wal-Mart today, as it was below zero windchill last night (Minnesota = not nice to console lines). This weekend will be mild (read: 30's), so I'd be willing to stand in line for hours, if necessary...

...but only if they are in. Any info?
According to other sites and this site as well, Toys r us has a contract with Nintendo and will be getting the most Wiis. Does anyonw have any info on when they get their shipments?
Also, perhaps we need to collect the various known days of shipments
EG: Web for gamestop and EB games
Toys R Us, Circuit City and Target if they all hold to pattern will have them on sale Sunday morning They've done this the past 2 weeks holding what they have till Sunday, some Toys R Us are stock when they get them id just recommend calling everyday and seeing what you can find especially Toys R Us and Target they tend to stock what they have more often than anybody else
does anyone live in AZ? I need some info
I was lucky to get a Wii last Sunday I failed to get one on launch day. It's amazing on how hard it is to get this thing. Last sunday morning I woke up at 7 to goto a local target which opens at 8. I was number 44 in line and they said they have 42 wii's. I decided to stay in case one of the people in line have their credit cards decline. All of them went through except one but he came back in time to get his wii. Feeling bummed I decided to goto toysrus near by and again a very long line. So I get in line and the guy in front of me that the lady will come out in a minute to announce how many they have. She comes out and says they have 48 wii's and started handing out more vouchers. To my excitement she handed me the last voucher and I wasnt in line for more than 2 minutes. Wow!!
I was so happy I wouldnt of got one if it wasnt for this thread. Sunday is the day to get a wii. Hope u guys dont give up cuz i almost did and i ended up getting one.
