Wiimotes and Nunchucks r common place around here, it's only the systems. We have PLENTLY on controllers...but I may wait for my 2nd controller...maybe buy the classic instead...anyways, how did you find out this info, and is it confirmed?
Yeah, I've had no problems finding Wiimotes its been a little difficult to find nunchucks though and i've yet to see a classic controller in a store but Wiimotes and all the games are easy to find.
my local (san diego) EB/gamestop had wii systems and accessories on 2 consecutive friday's ..
so i thought it would be safe to go on friday to get them wiimotes..
turned out i'm wrong!!..
i called them today and both told me they sold them earlier today(thursday) and wont have them tomorrow...
kinda sucks i got a wii but cant even find 1 extra wiimote .... -_-
I work in a mall so I know the guys at EB...i went up there today and asked what the status was on the wii's..he went in the back and about 5minutes later came out with one(but was hiding it so nobody could see)....so they have them..they are just not selling them yet..
yes, i got one.....and this was in alabama...
Does anybody know the BEST site to track online shops (as this is my best shot at buying once since I'm in HK now but want to buy it in the US shipped to my house in the US).
So far I have looked at these:
wiitracker.com --> Seems accurate, but doesn't have all the shops
http://techbargains.com/buywii.htm -->Many stores but is slow to update
http://www.refreshthing.com/wii/index.php -->Sometimes Inaccurate 4 me
Also, if you HAVE used a search like one of these and have successfully gotten a Wii, which one did you use?
Thanks,
PS->I have had the opportunity to buy the large bundles....but I really don't want to spend more than $350 on my Wii bundle since I already purchased 3 games a full set of controllers (1 x Wiimote, nunchuck, and retro).
I usually check those and
http://www.wiitracker.com/ though it seems nothing besides the bad gamestop pre-order bundle has been in stock for quite a while.
Going to have to check out Bestbuy this weekend maybe, and do the usual call of all the stores.
FYI my wife went to the Target in Columbus Indiana today and asked about the Wii. they said they didn't have any but expected the next shippment to be on December 17th. I was really hoping for shipments again this weekend. I also read last night an article that said nintendo should be making weekly shipment through the end of the year.
My first post but I thought I might be able to help some out there. I am in Oklahoma for those interested.
I snagged my Wii at Gamestop yesterday. I called all week long at opening and found out they were expecting a shipment yesterday via UPS. So I was at the store at 10am opening and they put my name on a list with 3 others and said that the list was good for yesterday only and to check back around 3pm and that they were getting 6. I did and they had a Wii for me with an extra nun chuck and controler (no classic controlers available).
What I have found while searching is the following.
Best Buy locally is holding all Wii's for a Sunday sale to happen either this Sunday or next Sunday. It will be advertised in the Sunday paper/weekly flier so you will know on Saturday if you buy a paper and check.
Gamestop/EB Games all got or are getting shipements yesterday/today in my area.
Target (in my area) get there shipments during the day but don't usualy put them out until the following morning. So at least in my area if they have them they are in the case at opening.
Funny thing is I have been searching for both a PS3 and Wii since launch and I passed on 2 20gig PS3's during my search prior to getting one 10 days ago. I also had the opportunity to get another 60gig last Wednesday while looking for a Wii. I guess what I am saying is that in my experience I have had a lot more difficult time getting a Wii than a PS3.
Good luck to all and I hope this helps someone.
Thanks for this Amazon info. Now if only Amazon USA would have some letter like this....
Goto
www.ps3seeker.com/wii It is usually accurate. It Said that Bestbuy had Wii Units instock, when Bestbuy said they didnt, but when the Sunday after Black friday came, They had lots of them in many locations....Wiiseeker (1-0)
Thanks for the leads on component cables. CC $59.99 is too high for me. Nintendo store is out of stock. Will keep hunting....
Circled back to Walmart today looking for accessories this morning. Just titles and one glove. Target seems to be doing a better job of stocking up in my area S.FL. I'm writing Walmart off my list.
This afternoon it's off to Gamestop for the UPS delivery.
For those of you still hunting for your Wii, YES, it's worth it!
your walmart doesnt stock much? wow that a suprise, our walmart is the best store around when it comes to videogames, and our target is going out of business, lol total opposite
My Target you can barely walk through theres so many people in it but the WalMart is the same and they stock like 24 hrs a day everytime you go in there somebodys stocking something
Just scored my 2nd wii from Gamestop for a friend. Arrived just as they were unloading UPS delivery. Had a box of 5 wiis, 12 or so remotes, 2 classic controllers. Got one of each. Clerk said they have yet to receive nunchuks--argh! No line when I got there so that might be a good sign that demand is cooling a little.
Keep the info flowing people...
Also, the gamestop people generally are real friendly. It is nice if you can get them to tell what time their UPS guy comes buy. The pretty much hit the store where I got mine at 2:30 every day. Then you can pretty much show up around that time if possible.
Just came from Target in Kingston, MA and they had at least 50 copies of Zelda on the shelves and nobody buying them. If you're in southeastern MA and need Zelda hope this helps.
Just that $771 after tax+shipping...thats an awful lot >_< Cuz I already found the games I want at a discount.
BTW-> Here are the deals I got so far, thanks to buy.com
1. 2 GB SD Card w/ USB adapter $22
2. Super Monkey Ball Wii $40
3. DBZ Wii $36
4. Trauma Center $38
And I picked up Zelda for $53 at CircuitCity.com already
So really this bundle is overpriced...not as bad as Ebay for sure, but still not that great.
This is just a warning to people before they buy, but of course if you have the money than a good deal, everything is at MSRP.
