I would like to visit Nintendo world sometime.......I guess if I still don't have a Wii by the time I get back to my school near Wash. DC I can take a bus ride, via the Chinese bus ($30 round trip y'all), up there to NYC.

i work for gamestop, and the shipment of wiis will be arriving somewhere between wednesday and friday to all stores, but we are not allowed to sell them until sunday the 17th. according to our district manager, it will be advertised in this sunday paper so if the stores sell them before sunday they can get in trouble for false advertising. numbers have not been confirmed, but i should be able to let you know within a couple days, we are only expecting 10 or less though, and i am in one of the biggest stores in the boston area, so probably very few will be going to smaller stores.
Sounds like if you want a wii this weekend, you are going to have to sleep out for one. Good luck for all those who are still looking. Hopefully it wont be too cold saturday night! Maybe ill swing by target a few hrs before they open!

This makes more sense. Several Gamestop employees told me about an email sent saying they would be selling them the week of the 17th. I wonder if any around will say screw it and go ahead and sell them on Wed. or Fri, though...THAT's the kind of info. I want...
anybody know best buy's policy (especially in canada) about giving out tickets. like i know they had a shipment two fridays ago. when did they give out their tickets for them? was it wednesday night or thursday night?

i don't know about bestbuys in canada, but here in the states, they gave out tickets a hour prior to store opening. most bestbuys held their consoles until sunday, cause it's in their ads. if you are looking for one, best check the morning ads first, and go wait inline for it. but all said and done....that's in the US.
Does anyone know of any shipments of the Wii to Framingham, MA? Or to Natick as well? I'm trying to find out the quantities that stores will be getting. If anyone knows of any shipments to any stores in this area (Best Buy #532; Toys'R'Us #7505; Circuit City#4121; EB Games #4951, 5106; and GameStop #647, 315 to name a few) please let me know. With all these stores nearby you'd think I'd be able to get one, but so far that is not the case! Your help is much appreciated!
Great info here... I have been to a few stores that confirm Sunday is the day. No one has numbers but they are expecting units that they can't sell. Anyone have information on BBY in Geneva or South Elgin, IL?
The rumor is, Game Stop here is selling ones they aren't supposed to all the time. Apparently some came in the other night for next day sale and an employee sold them all after closing.

I was just wondering what day Game Spot is supposed to recieve shipments. The guy told me later this week they would have some but refused to specify beyond that.

Game Stop and EB games will be getting shipments on wensday and friday. Unfortunately they will be waiting to sell them until the 17th (lame). On one side not every single store will be waiting. As for which stores i have no idea it is up to the store manager to make that decision. As for the people who sent me store numbers. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner but i was in touch with my contact multiple times yesterday and today trying to see if he could find out which stores would be selling them sooner and all he could verify for me was that every store # that i gave him will be getting shipments of Wiis this week. My suggestion is to not give up for there is still a chance of getting on during the week ( not so much for the east coast but for west and central america) (sorry canada i couldnt help) I was informed on monday that GS's were selling wiis that late morning (11-12) but sold out quickly. If anyone has any specific questions about this PM me. Other then that good luck to all this week and weekend
When i was still Wii-hunting the Manager at my local Gamestop said they wasnt holding what they get because he didnt want campers out in front of the store so it probably depends on the manager maybe.
