I just got done talking to WalMart, they told me that they have Wiis in stock but are waiting until 12:01 AM this Sunday December 3 to sell them. They will have an ad out for that day.
Yeah the rumors about monday shipments for gamestop/EB were not true i called all the ones around me and nobody got anything, also talked to the guy at Circuit City and they said they dont expect any untill January, but everybody else said it could be anyday whenever UPS shows up.
Good evening everyone. First, I would like to personally thank SublimeLBC for all his contributions to out efforts so far. His information is very accurate, and useful as well. This is the kind of input that really substantially helps to increase everyone's chances of getting a Wii soon. Once again, Thank You.
Gamestop and EBGames appears to be a no show for all locations today. (With possibly a few exceptions). This was listed as a speculation, based on what was mostly shaky info, and was found to be false. This is the first false bite of our thread. We should note that we do not discourage the input of those who contributed information about Gamestop/EBgames today. We're simply going on what we're told, and it is SPECULATION, so I encourage everyone to come forward with ALL information you have that you believe at least COULD be true.
"We don't have any yet. But definitely call back later today ." I'm guessing they were expecting a shipment today but got nothing.
This seems to me as if your location just expects their shipments to come in late. They could also very well have in fact been expecting a shipment. As SublimeLBC has told us, they do seem to be under some kind of rule not to tell anyone information, as they're a first come first serve basis.
Ok, I can confirm that Best Buy get their Wii shipments every Saturday night and they go on the floor Sunday morning. I talked to one of the main Managers and he confirmed this for me.
Given consistent information supporting this, your input (which is higly valued), and your source, this has now been moved to the confirmed patterns section of the original post. Should this change, or not hold to be true, then we will discuss removing it. Nice work on finding that out.
It seems like Tomorrow is a possible date for Target. This is going to be a speculated shipment. The source of SublimeLBCs data is not fully credible, but still trustable, which is then boosted by the pattern of stocking which Target has been following. Would everyone agree with that?
As for other things that may look good, a general Wednesday shipment looks like something that fits well into the shipment pattern and we will see how that turns out on Wednesday.
I have a personal note to add. At my local Sams Club, they said they will probably only get 6 more before Christmas, just 6 more Wiis. They said they don't know when after that they may get them. They got 20 at launch, and have gotten none since. The manager said they have no idea when they would get them, or if they would get them before Christmas. Sam's club is on the lower end of the scale as far as shipment numbers go. I wouldn't count on Sam's club being a reliable place to get Wiis before Christmas.
Sublime LBC also mentioned about the mall. I do believe he's correct about mall Gamestop/EBGames getting more. When my local shopping center ones did not, the two in the malls in the surrounding area got 5 each.
I will return later tonight to do some more updated info. For now, Cheers. SC7
OK. I got to target, but there was nothing there. I'm calling tomorrow at around 7:15 -> 7:30 to see what their status is. My friends said he saw a bunch of Wiis laying around an Eb Games last sunday the 26th, but they just aren't selling. I don't think that Eb would wait a whole week for their next selling (whole week meaning this upcoming friday). Someone also brought up a good point, they would rather do sunday than friday or saturday so that they can put the adds in the big weekend papers. I found an add for the wii in my newspaper on Thanksgiving saying that they had them in stock and were selling on friday. They might do the same for when you get your paper on saturday. This means Eb is more likely to do a tues/wednes than to have everyone wait a whole 9 days from black friday to this upcoming sunday. I agree with sc7 that the best date is probably wednesday. I'll call both stores tomorrow...
I feel bad for the employees, when I was waiting at the store, they recieved calls every 2 minutes. O_O
But Alas, another day with no wii
However, I played red steel at my friend's house today and it was amazing....
Sublime LBC also mentioned about the mall. I do believe he's correct about mall Gamestop/EBGames getting more. When my local shopping center ones did not, the two in the malls in the surrounding area got 5 each.
I would imagine that this could be true for larger malls, but I spent the morning of Black Friday lined up at my mall EB from 5-7am and was disappointed when they told me they hadn't received a shipment, when other EB/Gamestops did have Wiis for sale that morning.
Yeah so is anybody else settled on the Best Buy shipment and are going to get one this weekend?
Also, what time do you people plan on arriving? What time do you think that I should get there if I want to be first in line? Will there still be a line? (There has been every other time)
just wanted to add more to the target front of information. i talked to an employee in the electronics department in target (in person, mind you), and he said the same thing that i have found on this site: around wed-thurs is when they are expecting shipments. he also said that in this area, northern cal, that they expect 20-30 for that store. now, he didn't mention if that was every week they were expecting that much, but that still is a larger number than i have heard for total shipments to some stores.
i also called ebgames today, and talked to one of the employees that i know. he said that they didn't get any in, when they were expecting some. just thought i might add that for people in this area.
good luck hunting, all!
Just a quick note about Walmart
I called a person from walmart and it seems that they might be receiving a console very soon, despite what one other thread said. On another thread, a person claimed that they went to wlamart today at around 4 and they had consoles. When they tried to buy it however, it wouldn't run through. The manager then said that due to promotions, they are not selling anymore (even though they had some in stock) until December 6th. This doesn't apply to my Walmart at least (located in a suburb of NYC)
Eb and Target on wednesday still looks like the best bet. Especially if one of the people at Target said specifically Wednesday/Thursday. If I don't get it by Friday, I'm going to Best Buy on Sunday. I dunno if I should camp out (@ like 12) for the hell of it with my fellow wii-maniac friend or if I should show up at like 4 - 4:30
Hey guys-
I'm new to this board, found it off Google, and just wanted to thank everyone for the awesome info in this thread and offer my little tidbit in the search for Wii.
I live in Maryland just north of DC, and stopped by the Target in Gaithersburg about an hour ago. I picked up the last copy of Zelda for Wii even though I don't have the system yet. At least I can gaze at it and smell the freshness of new game (don't tell me you don't know it)! The guy there was nice and said he would expect a shipment in the next day or two, but of course doesn't know for sure, and that they get their shipments late at night to put out the next morning. He said today they actually got a batch of PS3s in that no one expected and some lucky people snatched them up. But screw PS3s. I'm going to try calling right before they close tonight to see if they know what came in yet, then in the morning so I can stop by before going to work. REALLY hoping tomorrow's the day!

I can confirm that Sams Club only has 1500 total to ship. They have NOT determined which clubs are going to get these yet or when . My husband was told they are using XBOX 360 sales as a guideline. They are coming before Christmas. As soon as I know exactly I'll post it.
Keep this to allof yourselves:
Gamestop usually get their Wii's Mornings: Fri... Sats... Thurs....
IF YOURE NOT AT THE STORE BY 10 mins after the store opens... youre not f***ing getting one. Simple as that.
Now I will go off and play Fire Emblem
Just registered to add what little information I have. I'm in the Madison, WI area and have been calling Wal-Mart/Best Buy/Circuit City/Toys 'R Us/Target/GameStop for the past few days and getting only "I don't know when the next shipment will be." Sometimes I'll hear "around Christmas."
Based on the speculation in this thread, I waited outside GameStop for 10 minutes this morning and talked to the manager (no one else was out there). He seemed pretty tired of answering questions about the Wii - they were out - and said to try calling at 2pm when they receive shipments from UPS.
Both Target and GameStop were dry today. Up in Appleton, WI on Sunday I got to Best Buy at opening and they had between 20-30 Wiis that people had waited outside for (too late!).
Seems like you need to have a stroke of luck to be in a store when they unload a new shipment. What's with all the tight lips on this? Wii is the same price no matter when you buy it.
Just thought i would add a little insight:
(and if you want any sense of comfort, i have had my hands on 6 wii s in the past week on 3 separate occasions, most went to friends and i have 2 in my house not including my own)
Best Buy: Not sure about the rumors on sunday shipments. I waited outside from 11pm sat night till opening on sunday.( 7th in line ) By 5 am the line was full. My suggestion would be to get there no later than 4 am. Also if you can find an employee there they can tell you alot of specifics about numbers, if they are nice of course.
Also they get PS3s in occasionally and just shelve them, so if you are looking for one you may want to just go every morning to the store.
Sams club and BJs: I would assume very small numbers and no one will know when. i would avoid them.
EB games and Gamestop: Depends on the managers if you can find out. Since there are more stores each store will get alot less than bigger stores. Also depends if they shelve their shipments during the day or after closing.
Target: i havent seen a confirmed pattern yet, but if they didnt have them for a few days i would say they are due for a shipment. Best to try and wait at the store when it opens in the morning.
Toys-r-us: They are getting alot more than anyone else since they signed the deal with nintendo. Since they didnt have any this weekend( i talked to a manager) i would assume they will be getting some this week. Best to wait outside in the morning.
Circuit City: i find it hard to believe they wont be getting anymore till after xmas. Im sure this week they will be getting some in.
Walmart: Depends if its 24hr stores. If it is i would try 12 am on sunday (rumor) or 12 am every night. If not i would suggest getting there at opening. They may be able to help with shipment dates. Apparently the rumors speak of another sunday shipment. I would suggest getting there a few hours (like 4) before 12 am or at 4 am if its not a 24hr store.
A big note has been going around the net saying nintendo is shipping out every week like 10,000s of units. So i would try as often as possible. Most likely every store will be getting some this week. and the longer they have not been getting it the sooner it will probably come.
So chin up and keep on looking.
Also, if they have accessories buy as many as possible, they are harder to find then the systems themselves. If you plan on waiting in line , dont try to get there 3-1 hr before the store opens, it wont happen. Get there at night, bring blankets or pillows and make yourself comfortable. Or try driving out in the middle of nowhere and hope for the best.
So good luck hunting for a Wii, ill be hitting up target and toysrus tomororw morning to look for some more. Why you ask? I just like the thrill of it!
Nice post from everyone who posted since my last post. I twice had a post containing detailed responses to individual posts. However, I am having some problems with my computer right now, so twice they got lost in transmission. I will hopefuly be back to full contribution power tomorrow. Thanks for understanding, and everyone's input.
I talked to a EB today and they too said to call back tomorrow. The guy told me that as soon as a shipment is sent they can see it in the computer so they know if they have any coming.
Also a manager at Target told me to check back later this week. they have not had any deliveries since launch but she knows that they will be getting at least one more by Christmas.
Also the wii seeker site is showing Dec 1st shipment dates for BB, EB, Target and ToysRus. I checked the nashville,TN area and central FL. Here is the website so yuo can check your area as well.

Just signed up to give my two cents to this thread, as I've spent hours of time reading it.
Last Monday I went to my local GameStop and asked about Wii shipments, and the manager told me to come in on [Black] Friday, which turned out to be true. (Unfortunately, I didn't realize they opened early, so when I showed up an hour before their normal opening time, they were already out!)
Today, I spoke with the same manager who again told me to come in on Friday.
I'm putting my bets on GameStop/EBGames on Friday. Also, my mall EBGames did not get any last friday (or any since launch) so hopefully they will get some this week.
---Warning: Speculation Ahead!---
If this is true, and the Best Buy pattern is true, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume that most major stores will be receiving shipments at about the same rate. Perhaps every store has a day in which they receive their wiis. This would make sense from a production efficiency standpoint (Nintendo makes wiis all day, then at the end of the day, send a huge shipment to Best Buy HQ, next day, send them all to Target, then Wal-Mart, etc.)
No other stores here (Ithaca, NY) besides Best Buy and GameStop have received second shipments. If you know what days last week any stores received wiis, I would bet they will get more on the same day this week, or the same day next week (HQs may be alternating between stores on different shipments).
Does anyone have any info that would support/contradict this theory?
Also, does anyone have any confirmed 2nd shipments dates for Target or Wal-Mart?
As a side note, I walked into 5 different stores last Wednesday that had PS3s sitting on the shelf (all are gone now). Some would call me lucky, I call it painful irony. I just want a wii...

Thank you for the information! Maybe I was wrong, evidence is starting to point towards friday for ebgames.
If JuniorMints is right, then they would have Wii in stock on friday.
Man.....this just keeps getting more confusing with more evidence pointing to more days.....
Screw it....I'll just keep checking all the time and post my findings
In Canada, at least, your theory for EB Games isn't true. The ones near me have received four separate shipments so far - including one on Saturday (well, Friday night), which is atypical for them, according to the guy I spoke with. They seem to be sporatic, though.
Your theory works for my nearest Best Buy, though - they're supposedly receiving shipments every Wednesday (to be sold on Friday) and expect to have Wiis in each one.
So, to add my own speculation... I'd say that the majority of stores will have set days of the week, and that all may experience some sporatic/surprise shipments.
As a final note, the local Wal-marts still haven't received a second shipment....
If you were to follow Humble Charlatan's each store has a day it would look something like this...
Sunday 11-26 = Best Buy
Monday 11-27 = Nothing
Tuesday 11-28 = Eb Games? Target
Wednesday 11-29 = Walmart
Thursday 11-30 = Eb Games?
Friday 12-1 = Eb Games
Saturday 12-2 = Nothing
Sunday 12-3 = Best Buy
Monday 12-4 = Nothing
EVIDENCE
11-28. There has always been speculation about this day. Target told me to call first thing tomorrow (28th) and I called right when the closed. Also, because there was a scare for Eb today (27th) and Sublime says they have them in stock, they might sell. Target I feel is more likely.Target never recieved a second shipment, so I feel they are our best bet.
11-29. For Walmart, I know for a fact that in the next wednesday on 12-6 there is a Walmart Wii sale. If this applies for the weekly pattern then we may see it on Thursday. Also Walmart is the other store with no second shipment, making them one of the most likely to be soon.
11-30. Thursday is an enigma to me...I feel Eb though. Eb Games receives Wii shipments on Thursday mornings according to previous posts
12-1. Everything points to Eb by now. People being told to call back Friday, recieving shipments Thursday mornings and Friday mornings, selling last friday to follow the pattern.
12-3. Best Buy on sunday has basically been confirmed by every source.
Evidence to the Whole Same Day Theory
(besides what Humble Charlatan)
NO TWO DIFFERENT STORES HAVE BOTH HAD A SALE ON THE SAME DAY BESIDES INITIAL LAUNCH....
The fact that people are told by employees that the only two stores to receive 2nd shipments (Best Buy and Eb) are getting the third on the same days of the week is substantial evidence too
THIS IS THEORY!!! IT IS AN INTERESTING ONE INDEED, BUT THEORY NONETHELESS. IT IS A COLLECTION OF EVIDENCE ON THIS THREAD. I'M NOT EXPECTING 100% ACCURACY, BUT IT IS WHAT I COULD DO AT THE TIME
Hmm..called the two walmarts closest to me too and neither had anything...I'm gonna check back around 11am or so if they do receive them at 10am because our walmart is slow at getting things out.
