Well. Thanks to all, but I'm just going to wait till after christmas. My area just doesn't seem to get shipments in at all anymore. Its a rural area anyway. I've wasted alot of time trying to get one and its just becoming tiresome. But thanks to the thread anyway.
Not to be a hassle or anything but I just must find one before the holidays are up. Could somebody with a nice soul find the shipment info for these stores in order of importance?

Well atleast my local target says they will be allowing camping. I now have to decide if i get there for midnight or 4am. 8hrs in the cold or 4 =P after all the effort i have put into trying for one, i prolly should just screw sleeping and get there for midnight. I don't think i really want to chance it. I just hope i won;t have to go to the rest room lol

Where I got mine last week, the line was already full by 4AM...

Here is a scary but nice ending story

One of my brothers friends bought a wii from ebay from who seemed a legit seller with 100% feedback. Well after winning the bid he paid through paypal, with shipping too, and then waited for the wii to come in; then he waited and waited for over 3 weeks. He contacted the seller andthe seller would say that he sent it to the wrong address, and excuses after excuses. He contacted paypal and they would only reimburse up to 250 not the 600 he spent. Later he contacted the seller who did not respond anymore.

So being a computer wiz he was able the track the sellers address to a school where the seller was from and contacted the school explaining the story. The school gave him the information about the person and his address. My brother's friend contacted the police and had the police go down to the sellers house. Next thing you know, the seller called him with th police still there saying that the wii would be in the mail today and he would include a $50 dollar gift certificate and said he was sorry.

So for a stressed out situation, it ended in a happy note.

All I can say to this is be very careful who you buy from online and paypal only reimburses you the cost of the item, not what you spent on it.
I don't know if everyone has already seen this but it appears that an inside source to Best Buy leaked some information on the Wii's that are going to be available the 17th. It looks like they are holding them because they want to increase the sales of wiimotes and other accessories (like they wouldn't sell on their own).

Anyway, the good news is that it looks like best buy is trying to have about 40+ units on hand at every store. There is some questions about the legitimacy of the clipping but I just thought it was interesting.

Oh, and just to add what's being discussed already, I fully plan to be at Best Buy around midnight the night before. I'll probably pick up a newspaper on the way to make sure I see a Wii in the ad and stay in my car until more people show up.
not to be the bearer of bad news, (and once again, this comes from the boston area, so how much this has affected the rest of the country is unknown), but anyone looking for a wii this weekend, i would use gamestop/eb as your last resort unless you manage to be number 1 or 2 in the line. the delivery was drastically cut to several stores, mine was supposed to recieve 9, we only got in 3 for the weekend. and on top of that many people have called the higher regional managers claiming they were lied to by employees, or accusing them of favoritism to certain customers, so when these people call to complain, what it comes down to is that the regional folks put them on an unofficial waiting/reserve list. to give you an idea of how bad this is, we have 3 systems and in our store alone the first 7 wiis that we get in have to go to people who have called regional management, so several stores in our region will be lucky to be able to sell 4 or 5 to the public between now and christmas, and we will not have any available this sunday. i definitely reccomend going into your local eb/gamestop and try to get into a friendly conversation to see how much info you can get out of them before you bother camping out for one.

What part of the Boston area??

i don't want to say which store i'm at, but i'm just outside the city, and we are in the boston metro region, which basically consists of every store inside the 95 belt
For everyone planning on waiting outside of a Best Buy this Saturday, make sure you know what time the store is opening, and adjust your arrival time accordingly. I just checked and my Best Buy is opening at 8 am, so it looks like I'm going to be standing outside all night...
Ah, I see. I am further out, in the 'metro-west' area I guess is what it's called. Between 95 and 495. Anyway I was just wondering. I was thinking about going to the EB nearby me, but maybe I will steer clear. The EB near me said they would have 6 on Sunday. Which isn't a whole lot to begin with anyway I suppose.

Saturday? isnt best buy selling the wiis this Sunday?

In most area's if you want a Wii you start waiting late Saturday night.
which stores would be the best options this sunday?, which ones will be getting a bigger amount of consoles? thx
Man, I have 100 dollars for GS...sounds like they are getting the shaft with Wiis. I guess I'll go to BB at about 3 or 4 am after I check GS.
Alright guys... I have a quick question... When should I be in line for best buy or Target on sunday to guarentee myself a wii?

Hard to say...Target and BB are getting near the same amount ~40 of Wiis. My Target is in a mall so I definately wont be going there. My Best Buy is right next to a freeway, but last XBox 360 launch I was able to get a 360 by going 30 minutes before they opened one day. My GS and BB are right next to each other so I'm going to check out GS then fly over to BB, see which is better. Works even better if you have a friend, have him go to TRU and CC or something then you go scout out 2 other stores, compare lines, go to the best one and nab a Wii.
