For any Wii seekers in central nj, the bestbuy in bridgewater nj had a line of around 10 people about to two hours ago. I also drove past the target in south Plainfield nj and there were around 3-4 tents set up at around 12am. My recommendation.....Get the heck out there. I'm so glad i actually scored one on release day.
Yes i was lucky enough to get one on the 3rd but best of luck to those of you still searching, well the ones who arent already gone anyway and chances are if you arent out by now you might be outta luck.
Just got back from Best Buy[/align] in S.C. I got there at 6:00am, the best I could do, and there was a list already. Had 18 Wii's but were called for. Most people had been there overnight and some where sleeping the car.
Maybe after Xmas I'll get lucky.....
Went to my Target in Alabama at 4 a.m. and we were 21st in line, and I then went to BestBuy myself and I was 24th in line. At 7 a.m. both stores passed out tickets, and Target had 18 and BestBuy had 21... 3 spots short on both sides, it sucked!!!
The worse thing is that I drove past by Toys R Us when there were about 9 people in line at 4:20 a.m. and I just called them, and they told me they sold 27...It's just my luck.
Went to EB Games at 7:30 am. Manager arrived at 8:00 am as promised and sold his 6 Wiis to those of us waiting (all 6 of us had preordered a Wii from him on Black Friday by purchasing a $250 gift card). There were no other people in line when we got out of there about 8:30 am (store officially opened at 10). All 6 of us were parents ordering for our kids.
I was also able to pick up a copy of Zelda, a Wii Remote and a Nunchuk while I was there.
I got to Best Buy at 11:45 last night, I was number 7 in line, out of 21 available wii's. Too bad they didn't have any wiimotes...

My wife and I went to a plaza with a Toys R Us and a Gamestop at 5:30 am. She was 38 of 35 at Toys R Us (which opened at 8) and I was 4 of 7 at Gamestop (opened at 10).
We're proud parents and have started a mii!

I had the chance of a lifetime to get a wii... I was out of bed and ready to go at 5:00, but my mom wanted to go later. We wound up going at 8:15 to Best Buy, after it opened... of course, by now you know I am still wii-less.
Note: If anybody is looking for a classic controller, I went to Nintendo World in Rockefeller Plaza, New York, yesterday, and they had about 300 of them left.

Target told me they would have 15-25 so I stuck it out, and CC had advertised in our local circular that they would have a minimum of 20 so my husband stuck it out. Come to find out Target only had 15 so I was 2 ppl too late. And CC only had 10 so my husband was 2 ppl too late. What are the odds...! And apparently TRU had 40 when they told me they would not get any!!
I just want to know why in the world these stores have NO IDEA what they are getting until the very last minute. Are store employees saving a bunch up for themselves? What's the deal? They should know of every single product they are getting, how many they are getting, and when. It's absolutely ABSURD if they don't have this information. Why do they have to play these games???

They don't really know for sure until they actually unload the truck overnight. Sometimes Nintendo's general supply was lower, and they just didn't get as many units as originally anticipated. This time around, it seems as if most loads except best buy were relatively small, as Best Buy stockpiled it's last two weeks of shipments. (Like CC did last week).
They manager at Gamestop told me durring my hunt before I got one, that at most stores, the managers on staff that day get first dibs at one system a piece, for every truck they get in.
For anyone who didn't get it, theres three last minute solutions before Christmas.

gah no luck this morning
went to best buy at 5:30 and when i got there someone told me that the best buy guy came out and told them only 21 will be sold and there was already 21 of them
i head over to target and there is a long line... i was about 55.... 20-30 mins of waiting a target guy comes out and tells us that only 15 will be sold...
so i decided to head home... i also decided maybe i should preorder but i dont know if any stores are taking preorders.... but i am going to gamestop later today to ask if they will take a preorder
so hopefully on wednesday or friday i will get a wii...
My Gamestop said they won't reserve Wiis anymore. They only did it before the system came out.
Well managed to score another two wii s! My roommate and I went to BB in worcester MA last night at 1:45 am. We were 15 and 16 in line. They were garaunteed 15 minimum so we stuck it out. At 6:30 am they came outside and said they had 21. There was probably a line of 60+ at this point. So we both managed to score more wii s! They also had approx 15 remotes, but no nunchuks.
I'm sorry for those that didnt get it this morning. This was alot tougher than launch day or thanksgiving weekend. People are serious. But i guess if you cant stay out all night then you are out of luck ! Hopefully they will get some after xmas!
Didnt get one, probably could have but decided to hang out with friends. I'm going to go to GS on Wedsnday or Friday when they get new shipments and try my luck, if not, I still got my 360 to keep me busy.

My boyfriend got one from Best Buy in Tampa. He got in line at 1:30am and was 16th in line. The next person didn't get there until around 4:20am. At around 6am, someone from the store told them they were getting 24. Vouchers were handed out at 7am and store opened at 8am. I'm glad we got one! Good luck to everyone else. Hopefully the lines won't be as long after Christmas and there'll be more shipments!

Im assuming you're in the US if so then the next shipment it appears wont be untill January with the next 2 Sundays being holidays, Christmas Eve and New Years so from what i've heard it wont be untill January now.
