I'm reading on different sites that it may only be bundles. which s**ks the big one becaues I don't want the games they have in the bundle. Not much choice. I'm thinking I will be wiiless unitl the first of the year.
TRU had a small bundle here this weekend. It was the console with Ultimate Alliance for $279. Everything was bundled separately. When they rang everything up it was rung up separately so you could probably return the unwanted items if they do their big bundles the same way. Not sure though.
that isn't so bad, but the ones I have seen have 5 or 6 games
Check out this website and put in your zip code. Scroll down on the listed nintendo wii's on the left hang column, and on the bottom it has the stores in your area and will say if they are expecting any shipments or not. Hopefully that will give you an idea.

However now that I check it once again they say they will be recieving 10+ in my area. Originally they had said that and then a couple of days ago they said bundles only. Now once again they said 10+ with the release being the 22nd.
just to warn you that wiiseeker hasn't been that acurate since the launch. i wouldn't put all hopes in it.
New here... Really... what do you think my chances are of getting a wii on Friday at Toys R Us? I need realistic advice from those of you who know. Would I have to sit in a line all night? I'm a mom trying to find one for my husband and son... no time to wait in line!
it depends on how many people know about this information. i was out last weekend at 4am. got to bestbuy, the 24th person inline got there at 12:30am. and there are 4 or 5 people in front of me got there 10-20 minutes before i did. i then went to target where bunch of teens all went and camp out starting the night before. TRU had 36 and were turning people away.
if people knows this information and are already off work for vacation on friday, you might need to be there early early early. i myself am still debating if i should go out there. i don't want to wait 3, 4 hours and find out i have to buy the stupid bundle and can't return a single item.
That's what I was afraid of... and since TRU put out a press release, I'm sure everyone that wants to know knows.

Thats what you'd think, but I only Joystiq posted a blog entry, no big sites like Gamespot or IGN or 1Up. To me this means that only people who know where to look can get this information, I am going to get there at 7 am, I honestly think that not alot of people know about this.

that's true. i think a lot of people already gave up trying to find one before christmas, thinking there weren't gonna be another shipments. you may cross your fingers and hope to get one. or you can just whoop out the old board games and have the good old fashion family fun day.
It will depend on your area, but I think most places camping out will be required for getting a Wii on Friday. True the info may not be as widespread, but we are talking about one store having at best guess 10 per store. Sunday there were mutliple stores with at least 15.
I was at Target at 4 am on Sunday and missed out by 10 people(I was #25 they had 15).

I just called my TRU and of course they don't think they will have any friday. So I asked do you really know this for sure, and she said no. LOL so depending on who you talk to you get a different story. So I think I will chance it and be there early. just in cas.e
If I were you I would get there Thursday night. Im sure people are in a panic state and don't want to disappoint there kids on Christmas. With that being said I think a lot of people will be in line to try to get a hold of one. I don't know just my thoughts. I would take extreme measures and get there extra early. It will be worth it to see your kids face on Christmas morning.

Last year when that Retail Insider leaked that 360s were going to sell at Bestbuy, I went there 30 minutes before they opened and was 3rd in line. So I guess it depends on your area, but hell, I live in Houston and still no body knew about it.
I'll get there at 7, no earlier, and hope that not many people know about it. If there's a line, I'll just go back to bed.
Also there is 100 gift card with purchase of Xbox 360, so if all else fails get a 360 and Gears of War with the Gift Card. But honestly, like Wiidiculous, I'm getting there at 7 and if people knew about it and camped, then I'll go home.
I am not sure if this will help or not
I ordered the Most Wanted Bundle from Gamestop on the 15th. Just happened to catch it online, and of course, even though it was freaking 750 dollars after tax and shipping I had to buy it.
Ok so that is now six days ago....on the 15th it said it would ship on the 19th. On the night of the 18th they hadn't taken my money or shipped, so I sent an e-mail....here is the reponse from Gamestop Customer service...
Dear Customer,
Thanks for writing us!
As long as there are no problems with receiving our shipments, your
order should ship out on 12/21/07.
We will contact you via email with a UPS tracking number once it does
ship out.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Best regards,
Rachel
Ok so that is today.....I will let you know what happens. I assume that online and stores are working off the same shipments.
I ordered mine off eToys, the total time from order to delivery took 5 days. I ordered on the 14th, delivered on the 19th, and I did the cheap shipping (only $10), and no tax.....
BUT, I got stuck w/ Cars and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy....so it has its trade offs -_-
Those Australians who are still Wii hunting (honestly don't think we have many Aussie members here but anyway) Nintendo of Australia have said that in response to the demand for Wii's they would be steadily re-supplying them at stores.
