I just want to add that I have a feeling anyone who hasn't recieved a second shipment yet will probably get a large second shipment because it's been simply too long.

I'mma try to get some good solid Toys R Us info tomorrow. An old friend of mine works in the games section. I havn't even seen him since Junior Year of high school in Physics class (I'm a Junior in college now), so I'mma go and make small talk with him and then eventually move on to the Wiis. I'll bring up how Toys R Us is the official sponser and are supposed to get the most, but most importantly, I'mma ask about shipment patterns...stay tuned guys.
I modified the previous post. I feel it is much better now. I was one day off on all the days before XD.

Anyway, I'm pretty confident with it, but I wouldn't do something so ridiculous as to call only those stores on those days.

Sorry for not including Toys R Us, there aren't any near me.
Thanks Sublime for picking up what I missed Big Grin

Sublime LBC also mentioned about the mall. I do believe he's correct about mall Gamestop/EBGames getting more. When my local shopping center ones did not, the two in the malls in the surrounding area got 5 each.

I would imagine that this could be true for larger malls, but I spent the morning of Black Friday lined up at my mall EB from 5-7am and was disappointed when they told me they hadn't received a shipment, when other EB/Gamestops did have Wiis for sale that morning.

The mall thing I'm talking about is the Wii Mall Experience. Here is a list of all the malls in the USA with the Wii Mall Experience. EBs in these malls get more frequent shipments with larger amounts of Wiis than other GS/EBs.

If you live near one of these malls and do not own a Wii yet, I HIGHLY suggest you check it out. There are playable demos of all the Wii sports games, Zelda (One dungeon including that giant fire boss, or you can opt for fishing, which is AMAZING), and Wii duck hunt! It's so much fun, I go into work an hour early just to play Wii! lol

Hope this helps guys!

**EDIT** If you click on my source and look at the bottom right of the page, look at the two retailers. I suppose that confirms this info?

Only one in New York?

Aw man, all the way in Long Island too...
Actually...the New Jersey and Connecticut ones are closer to where I live than the Long Island one. hmmm....
I'll try and check it out (doubtful my mom will want to drive me there when she is already going to drive me to eventually pick up my wii)

It seems really good though, if anyone else goes, post information of what it was like and availability
Made the rounds today, nobody had anything. I stopped at Target between 5 and 6 pm and they had a ps3 in the case which surprised me. I was also surprised that there were at least 5 people buying games and none of them seemed to take much interest in it. I'll be hitting the stores in the morning. If I find anything I'll make a post here.
Wiiseeker is saying a few Walmarts have Wiis in Stock in my area. Also Walmarts next Wii shipment is Dec 3rd according to Wiiseeker. I trust Wiiseeker as of now because it was the original source for the Best Buy having Wiis on Sunday rumor which proved to be true. Don't forget to keep checking the site!

Also I didn't say this yet but I've been meaning to. BIG PROPS to sc7 for starting this 5-star thread. It's quickly become the biggest thread in the Wii forum! Nice job, bro!
My 2 cents, YMMV. Went to local S.FLA SuperTarget this evening. Electronics staff said officially they are not going to see additional shipments until the new year. However, staff felt this was corporate CYA talk since they got the same line about PS3s and they received a shipment of 5 today and promptly stocked them on shelves. They receive shipments after closing. Confirmed calling electronics section at 7:30am to verify stock. I have read on the Amazon Wii product forum and here that Target receives their shipments by UPS. Staff denied this.

Tip: Go to Target price check kiosk and enter the following code using keypad: 207-25-0001. This is the Target DPCI number for Wii and will let you know what they have in the stockroom.

Theory: http://wii.discretecorp.com/ will give you Target initial allocation for Wii launch. Assuming 2nd (or more) shipments a proportional to Launch allocations you may know where to place your bets for finding one at a Target near you.

Keep in mind the allocation info given to Nintendo investors...
http://www.wiiloaded.com/wiinews-3082
As reported in the press today Nintendo sold 600K Wiis, therefore initial allocations are exhausted.

TRU should be fat like a tick with Wiis, but I'm not finding strong reports of product movement like BB or even EB (TRU pre-order depletion?).. or is the Wii TRU blossom about to come?

Good hunting!
Yeah something has to be going on at WalMart all the walmarts in my area are showing 4-10 Wii's in stock via wiiseeker and it wasnt showing any in stock a few hours ago when i looked, so if you live in the Atlanta area i would suggest checking out walmart in the morning you might strike gold.

Just to clear a few things up..

Target does receive their Wii (and PS3) shipments via UPS. A good friend of mine who has worked for Target in Electronics for years said that it does come from UPS. This Target has not received a 2nd shipment of Wii's yet (the only ones they got were at launch), however they did receive a surprise shipment of PS3's today. This leads me to believe that Target will most likely be receiving their [large] second shipment sometime this week. My local Target got 51 at launch, so we'll see what happens this time around.

Switching stores.. My local Wal-Mart, I believe, has been receiving frequent shipments through the week. I don't know how big they are though.

I'll be making rounds to all the stores tomorrow since I have the day off and i'll see what I can find.

hello all, i registered so i can try to provide my own info and also learn some info...

so far i know that target should be receiving a shipment sometime this week....

best buy possibly sunday

walmart not until dec 3rd or 6th

and ebgames/gamestop sometime this week
i've been following these boards and especially this thread for days - and finally decided to register and give alittle input / grief from my side

I too have been trying desperately since launch to get my hands on a precious Wii.

On the topic of the wii-seeker site, it says all the Wal*Marts in my area have at least 4-8 Wii's in inventory....it's 2 am here and i'm so tempted to run up to my local 24 hour walmart that says it has 4-10, and just check - but then again i just checked that exact wal mart about 7 hours ago and they had nothing and had no idea when the next shipment was coming - i'd be more than disappointed if i went up there now and was only told they are empty still.

Other than that i've checked Target, empty. Called all my Gamestop/EB's - all just say they don't know, but one guy was friendly and said to keep trying back each day and calling because they should know a day in advance when they are shipped to the store. (The rest of the gamestop stores were rude and acted like i was being a pain in the ass by making them actually do their job and answer a customer's logical question)

I don't think i'll go to the Wal Mart tonight, but i'll check it in the morning along with Toys R Us and Target.

I really think i should go check the 24 hour Wal Mart though, i just don't know if i can trust the wiiseeker site
I've been reading this thread for a while now and have decided to get into the mix.
I went to my local BB (I'm in the central valley of California) and they too confirmed the Sunday shipment theory. So that is looking good.

Other than that, however, I am coming up short. I am calling Target and other stores tomorrow morning so I will update any new information tomorrow.

Good Luck!
decided to just get some sleep, and run by the usual stores / make the usual calls tomorrow (toys r us, target, wal mart and then call EB mid day when they usually receive)

Goodnight and good luck to everyone in the 'wii-less' position that a lot of us are in Sad
Oh man, such good information....
This is getting interesting

That wiiseeker doesn't show any new information (the usual call for inventory and Dec 1 is the next shipment) I guess I'll have to hunt one down via instincts and yellow pages XD
Well so far WalMart doesnt have any compared to what WiiSeeker is saying but i did get one person there tell me that those shipments come in around 10 am to check back then and according to my Target, they didnt receive any shipments last night.
Potomac Mills Target - Electronics guy said they did not receive any last night, as far as the inventory showed. The lady at customer service stated "we get our trucks in over night and we try to get it all on the shelf before open".
Not sure if this has been mentioned but I just got a email from Best Buy Canada that said the next stock release for the Wii is Friday December 8th.
No Luck at local Targets this morning. What's the recon for TRUs?
I heard from my friend the next release date for the wii would be D
December 9th
I went to 2 targets and 2 walmarts this morning. Neither one of them got any in over night.

I used that Target stock checking code that somebody posted earlier. At one Target it said they had 3 on the floor, but there wasn't any to be found.

I'll be going out this afternoon, I'll post if I find anything.
