Well i did find a WalMart in my area who did receive some in their shipment but they only received 3 and they sold out first thing this morning he said they would get some more next week probably on Tuesday again, Toys R Us so far has been a no go they didnt get any, one EB said they wasnt getting any till next week probably.
Stopped by Target this morning at opening. No luck.
I asked one of the stockers when the next shipment would be, and he said they get shipments over night so they can have the shelves stocked at openining...unless they get a shipment from UPS.
Sounds like the Wiis may arrive on a different, harder to determine, schedule.
Orlando, FL
Just checked the Target near by and none.
Also just checked 6 EB/Gamestops in my area and they haven't received any today and one of the stores said for that specific store (listed below) will not receive any till next week:
GameStop #1583
Century Plaza
1884 South Semoran Blvd.
Orlando FL, 32822 US
(321)235-3043
But the other EB/Gamestops say to continue calling everday.
I called the closest walmart and the person said that they actually have 30 in stock, but they're holding it until Dec 6th before they sell it.... =(
no luck this morning
went to wal mart (none on shelves, no one to ask, figured they had none)
went to toys r us (asked, she said none but to keep checking because they trinkle in)
went to target (none on floor, asked lady and she said none)
went to comp USA - nothing at all, probably won't check there again
Anyone have any tips? Tired of wasting gas, but i don't trust them over the phone because sometimes i feel like they just give me a bs answer because they are tired of getting asked same question.
Im just about ready to say that if you want a Wii your best chances are gonna be Sunday morning at Best Buy or Dec 6th at your local WalMart and i think possibly Dec 3rd for some WalMarts, thats what WiiSeeker had as the next shipment date on the area WalMarts for me but as far as EB/Gamestop's i think its just a check everyday and see if the UPS brings in the goods whenever they make the daily trip that and Toys R Us im checking daily they seem to be the ones who stock what they get right away and if anybodys interested Toys R Us has 2 of the Wii Bundles in stock on their website.
Good afternoon,
It seems today's speculated overnight shipment to Target and EB/GS did not turn out. There is still hope left in a mid day UPS shipment. The people at all the stores I went to today said that a UPS shipment durring the day today is possible. It however, does not seem likely that there will be a shipment from UPS today durring the day.
It seems confirmed that the Sunday shipment theory is true. Many posters have reported that managers at their local best buy locations confirmed for them this is true. As this evidence added to the theory we have behind their motivation for selling every sunday, I believe we can call this a confirmed shipment date.
It seems the 24 hour Walmarts at least are stockpiling and holding their inventory to start what seems to be a large scale sale for next Wednesday, December 6th, 2006. Certain Wal Mart locations are still selling trickle in shipments, so this one seems a little tricky to predict.
Through my travels today, Target and Gamestop both told me that they expect a shipment some time later in this week, and to call first thing when they open in the morning, and then later in the afternoon every day. Toys R' Us seems to me like a location that just gets them and puts them right out.
Since Target has gotten none since launch, (or they claim to), it seems proable that they got a new shipment on the way, and it could arrive either tomorrow or Thursday. They got 81 at my launch, so I'm hopeful their next shipment will be fairly large. The manager also told me that they got 15 surprise PS3s that they weren't expecting last night, and they sold within a half hour. Target looks like a good place to check durring the week, as does Wal-mart and EBgames, who all seem to have them coming durring the week. There's also word about Walmart having a potential sale of them on Sunday, and running them in the ad.
Right now Best Buy for Sunday looks like the best bet so far. There's rumor of a Friday the first shipment, so look into at least checking there then too. However, I personally will be getting to best buy this Sunday at around 2:30 AM, hoping they'll have around 63 again, and I can snatch one. I do want to be there early though, because this shipment could be smaller, and they may only have the 12 console minimum in stock. My best buy has an employee outside before the doors open a few hours early to take names on a clip board, so hopefully I won't wait for nothing.
Cheers, and good luck for the rest of the day.
I heard that the closest Target near me (Bay Area in CA) had 210 on launch day and 120 on black friday... I haven't been to Target to check these 2 days since you guys are saying they don't have any. I may go today and put in that code (thanks to whoever posts that (sorry i forgot who it was)) and see if there is any...
I've been reading this website for a week. I now have a solid post.
Wal-Mart in Hooksett, NH has ten Wii's in their locked glass case.
Get this, they opened the case, handed my wife one. She went to checkout and...
The register would not allow it to go through. According to the cashier, they are not allowed to sell them until Saturday, Dec 2nd.
This is a great site! I've been lurking for a few days now, and decided to sign up and start reporting from my neck of the woods. (Phoenix AZ)
I noticed at the WiiSeeker that most Wal-Marts in my area have Wii's in stock. I stopped by a few on my way to work, and found nothing. The employees there were less then helpful as well.
I called a few local Targets and EB/Gamestops too... Was told, while they're expecting shipments within the week... they couldn't give me a solid day when I should expect a brisk li'l camp-out.
The WiiSeeker is a fine tool, however, it concerns me that it lists the "Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market" stores in the list. Not sure if it's nationwide, but these are Wal-Mart stores that are for Groceries only. The WiiSeeker listed 3 of these nearby locations as having Wii's in stock. I called to verify, and they had no idea what I was talking about or why I was calling.
Anyhoo, I hope to try to post a bit here... help us all get one!
Thanks again for this great forum,
-Chris
(This may be a repost, I had problems posting earlier)

A couple of my friends are trying to figure out how early on Saturday we should get there. We want to be close to the front of the line to guarantee a Wii. I'm thinking that there might be a line, so walking in right at midnight might not work.
Anyone know how 24 hour WalMarts handle lines for this type of thing?
yea that's what i meant...i think i'll show up an hour or two before?
Hello, everyone, I have some breaking news to share about Target, but first, about the Walmart situation. It appears that many Walmarts are holding back their Wii stocks to sell on what appear to be different dates. My walmart has none in stock. (Possibly in the back?) (I live in a large suburb). We'll have to see on that.
All Gamestop/EBgames keep telling me to check back later in the week, which leads me to believe that a Friday shipment sounds in the workings.
Now, on to Target. I stopped in about 30 minutes ago to check to see if they got anything on their UPS shipment, nothing. I talked to the manager, he said that they will have close to as many at launch, and they will be running an ad for this Sunday. He told me to get out early Sunday morning, and that they will be handing out tickets again.
Just some info to share, SC7.
This stockpiling garbage is a nightmare. I have no desire to camp out, wait in a huge line or whatever to get a Wii, just on general principle alone. We're all willing to do the footwork and they should be putting them out as soon as they get them. I still plan on making the rounds again in a few hours, hopefully I can luck into one at Sears or something.

I agree with you. I personally don't like the fact that it is this way to get one, and I don't think it should be, however it is. I don't mind camping out if it means getting a Wii, and I will be doing it this Sunday at either Best Buy or Target. A lot of people have the same mindest about it as you, and thats quite fine. I personjally really want my Wii badly.
Tonight might not be the best time to look for Wiis in stock. Today is one of the dryest Wii hunting days so far from what I've gathered across the internet.
I work from home, so as long as they aren't stockpiling, I stand a good chance of getting one if they come in.The thing that I don't like about making people camp out, is you don't know how many they are going to get and last weekend plenty of people stayed out all night only to go home empty handed.
I stopped over at the EB in Pentagon City Mall and they told me sometime later this week as well. I asked what time they get their shipments in and they said between 1:00 and 2:00.
So after reading the thread for a week and hunting for a wii I decided that most Walmarts and Targets in my area (MN) stock around 11-noon and a Target employee verified that they get random shipments but they usually come around that time. so today I went to 2 Walmarts and 2 Targets. The second Target had 8 Wiis they just put out (around noon). A manager at Walmart told me she expected them next week. Hope this helps. Good luck everyone.
Most Eb Games are saying later this week. Friday does look like a best bet
My local target and Gamestop told me no more Wiis for this week (I'm assuming until friday) This was told to me by two targets, an Eb and a gamestop. Still, I think friday at Eb will work. Walmart has nothing currently.
It confuses me that target who never released the second shipment would be waiting so long. I think the only way that they can make a guarantee that they won't recieve shipments is if they receive them and stock pile them until Sunday morning
Sigh, another depressing day....Any more information, feel free to post it
Note: wiiseeker says 12+ wiis for every best buy on sunday!!!
