I decided to trust the rumors and speculation of the wii release for december 31st...it was total BS in my area. I've been having an extremely hard time tracking any wiis down in the houston area. Target said they had none and couldn't tell me any dates or other kind of information. Best Buy had PS3s, no wiis and the manager could only tell me wait until the new year. Can someone help please! I have been randomly checking TRUs, Walmarts, and BB in my area and have been having abolutely no luck. I m going to stop by some stores later this afternoon but as of now im finding it impossible to get my hands on a wii in the hosuton area.

it really is the best way of finding one although it might be frustrating to acctually find one but it will be rewarding in the end unlike me hoping that information is right on here and calling for me doesnt really help... so just keep going out and like what people said follow stores patterns like when shipments come in and when they stock or liek check every day between 10am-2pm since thats when shipments ussually come in... so good luck to you...
Good luck to everyone looking for a wii. There are no shipments for today; there was supposed to be a Best Buy one but they got them early and sold them instead of stockpiling them. The only shipment that I've heard about is Target sporatically throughout the week. If you're diligent enough, you should be able to track one down. As for TRU, I'm still waiting for a response.
lol i just found out my friend got a ps3 for christmas and i asked how he got one and who got it for him... lukcy bastard... but he said that his bro got it for him cause his bro works at target... wow! now i know someone i can get info from =P well i asked him if he could ask his bro anythign about wii and he said he'll ask... hopefully he will ask and ill probably get some info by tuesday on target, since thats when we go back to school... anyways till then good luck...

checked 3 targets this morning 1 at open and 2 more about 30 minutes later...no luck
The kid I talked to this morning at Target said to check in on Tue and/or Wed morning, apparently they got shipments of wiis in on both those days last week.
I lucked out - my uncle just called and said he saw one sitting on a shelf in California and he'll UPS it to me tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else still searching.

TRU is right next to my school, but school starts at 7:26, so I won't be able to check there either. Maybe one of my parents will check for me, they want me to get one now, and thet's pretty amazing
I hate stores! Everytime I call they give me a new answer. I have tomorrow off work and was told by one person at my local BB they get shipments on tuesday and/or thursdays. I called back again today just to check in and another person told me they will not have anymore until the 3rd or 4th week in Jan....WTF?

really is frustrating at this point, the stores aren't so worried about sale now so they don't really care what they tell you. And it seem the details of when wii's are arriving has dropped off too. Being wii-less I'd still camp out but you cant even count on that now it seems. Last week the my best buy had 28 was told they confirmed shipment on Thursday so I went to get one, and was told they got them on Wednesday and sold them all quickly. I guess I'm resigning myself to the fact I will probably be wii-less for another month until they are stocked on everyone's shelves.

Target seems like the easiest place to get one (when they actually get a shipment in) because you know when to go and if they dont have them then, they won't have them at all the rest of the day. Since Target gets their shipemnts at 10PM they put them on the shelves for opening in the morning (8AM where I am) Therefore, show up at 8AM for a few mornings and eventually you will get one. I went 3 days in a row and got one today; they had 12 on the shelf and I took the first one at about 8:30.

Wow... I just tried calling Wal-Mart, and whoever is in charge of answering the phone must be disgruntled. They either hang up on me immediately or don't answer. Sheesh. Guess they don't want my business.

Rumors are that K-mart are suppose to start getting more daily shipments for the Wii which would be the system itself,grips,controllers,etc.It will start about 1-16-07 so hopefully it will be easier to get.
