this is true, i received confirmation from Ebgames and Gamestop that Wiiseeker is just a scam to get people to bid on the Wiis on ebay... it does make sense considering when you punch in your zip the first 20 or so listings are ads from ebay and most of the retailer stores such as best buy had "unkown" as the shipment date...

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. WiiSeeker isnt all bad, just ignore the ebay auctions. If anything, its a good place to get the phone numbers of all your local wii stores together on one page. I tried very hard to get a wii, from christmas day till I finally got one, 2 days ago on January 4th. I was tracking wiitracker.com and xpbargains.com's wii tracker constantly, and had a program set up to text message my cellphone if either of those sites got wiis. No luck with that setup. I didn't want to call anywhere, because everyone here says they just lie anyway, so i was checking local stores.

I live pretty far from real society, so the closest store that even sells wiis(walmart) is a half hour away from me. Then the next closest store is an hour away, where there are about 5 stores that sell wii. Anyway, out of desperation i checked the wiiseeker, even though when I had checked it previously, it said unknown ship dates for all the stores. This time when I checked it, it said ship dates for the stores, but in a broad range, like 1/8-1/16. Well, I figured at least it was a change, so I figured it was about time to start calling the stores. What did I have to lose? Its at least a half hour drive just to check otherwise, and the 'net wasn't yeilding much. So I call walmart and they tell me they just sold their last wii 5 minutes ago. GRR! So then I call all the places that are an hour away. None of them have wiis. Angry, i looked again at the wiiseeker, and noticed another store(walmart) that was also an hour away, but in a different town. I called over there, and they had 9 wiis, the shipment had come in that day. It was around 2pm when I called, so I asked if they had been sitting there all day, and they said yes. I immediately left work and drove up to snap up my wii. Got there and grabbed a wii and zelda. I drove home the whole hour with my wii box propped up on the back of my truck's seat so it was showing in the back window. w00t!

I got the wii home and played it all night. It rocked. Wii sports is fun as can be and zelda is a masterpiece. I signed up on the internet, got the wii updates, got the wii browser and made my mii. I also signed up for Wiiconnect24. I eventually got tired and turned off the wii and went to bed. I had to get up and go to work, so the wii sat there all day. When i got home, i was ready to get wiid up. The wii would turn on, but I only got a black screen on the tv. I checked all my connections, unplugged the wii and replugged the wii, tried again, no dice. I noticed the wii was super hot on the outside. OH NO!

So the wii was in standby mode all day, getting super hot for some reason, and i guess it burned up. I unplugged it and went to bed after a night of being mad. In the morning(yesterday), i got up and tried it, and it booted up. I immediately put in an sd card and saved off my zelda save. Then I tried to play wii sports, but i coudnt get to it because the graphics got all corrupted in the wii menu and the wii crashed. Since then, the wii only shows the black screen of death.

I called Nintendo, and they seemed surprised about my problem and immediately sent out a new wii. It shipped yesterday and should be here by tuesday hopefully. It should be a painful few days without the wii, but at least I have one on the way for sure, and thats better than a lot of people. So to all who are wiiless, I feel your pain. Hopefully this story of my misfortune can help some who are even more screwed than me! Good Luck wiihunting!

Best Buy Shipment Update!

GOOD NEWS CONFIRMED!!

Wiiwillrockyou, you are partially correct, as Best Buy will be recieving a large shipment with a delivery date of Friday, 1/19.

When I say large, I mean that the amount ranges from 20's to the 30's+ for most stores. Also important, remember last time they had a delivery date of Friday, and some began getting theirs in as early as Wednesday, some a little later, so be prepared to begin checking if they're in early on that week(who knows, mabye the 15th rumor will become the actual delivery date for some stores). Another possibility is that they will be held till Sunday, but that seems unlikely.

So, if you would like me to check on the amount your store will recieve, just PM me(once again preferably with the store number as that expedites my research.

Is that Just for the U.S. or is it for Canada too.

3. To the right of the next image, there will be a link called "Get the latest news on wii stock release. Click that and enter your email adress.

Yes incredibly accurate for target at least. It worked for me and I was able to help 3 friends out in getting a wii too. In fact my friend picked one up the last time I got a notice, he told me he got the last one and within an hour itrackr notified me of the store being out of stock. So pretty good on accuracy I would say and definitely was worth the $1.99 for me.

FYI, itrackr is definitely worth the $2. I was notified that a Target near my home got wiis in stock last night at 10:30. I went there this morning at open, and there was maybe 17 people there who all got the alert via itrackr. consequently, we all got wiis with no hassle. awesome.

also, if you're in the seattle area, I got mine at the Factoria Mall Target and there was still probably 10 left after everyone in line got one... so if you're in the neighborhood and want one, i would go for it.

The biggest problem we are having with not getting Wiis are those "people" who do nothing but try to get them and sell them on Ebay and don't even care about games.

i went to one and I found out that my local target was getting 60 and sure enough they got 60 on launch

Stopped by target today in redlands, ca looking for a nunchuck and noticed there were about 6 wiis in the cage. This was about an hour ago. Also if you're not in the area sounds like target might of got a shipment to most stores so might be worth a check for the next day or two for your local target.

is that only for canada... or is it for anyone O.o; i didnt know about that...
