I was told by the manager of my local game stop that nintendo will be shipping about 1 million wii into the US by the end of the month. And by February 1 they are expecting that all stores will have them almost all the time.

I really really really hope that's true. But when you think about it, with each shipment, demand is slowly dying down (because everyone who wants one is getting one) and supply is slowly going up with each passing day.

That's very true. I just hope Feb 1st is the date, I can't wait much longer... Toungue
I hear you, I hope canada gets a lot really soon, they sell out so fast Sad
For anyone still looking. There is a site here that allows you to suposedly see stock of Wii's, Wii-Remotes, Wii-Nunchucks and Wii-Classic controllers at Target. Good luck
Wiis on 1/21 at Target, CC, and BB confirmed.

Looks widespread. Camp out time? Good luck.

Note* - If you have any doubts, this guy is legit. He has been right about every single ad since the beginnning of time. If you still dont believe me, look at the 1/14-1/20 ad with what he says then compare it to the ad in the paper...the exact same! And this guy does it every week, a week before sunday's ad is released.
Alright, looks like the 21st is the big day. Good luck to all still looking! Smile
Have any idea when EB Games is going to get some? I have to get one from there because 58 bucks of my wii savings is store credit there
Darn, EB Games? I can't really say I'd know, since they're so random, but they'll get it some random time every week from 12-1 p.m. However, they might follow suit and hold them until the 21st, but once again, it's totally random.

As I have confirmed, long, long, ago(in the case that you have forgotten), these Wii will be sold to the public on Sunday, January 21st(Have more faith in me pleaseRolleyes).

Anybody else wishing to have their own Best Buy's qty, PM me with a store number preferably(much quicker).

My feelings are strong that come mid February (at the very least) nobody will be left wiiless(nobody who wants and has the capacity to buy one at least), as yet another shipment will be coming in on Friday, the 2nd day of February(I'll keep ya'll posted on that one).

Yes, there will be soon a time when wii are left on the shelf, waiting to be adopted...
or mabye demand will have the better of things and it will still be a hot item, who knows?

However, in the case that they're abundant (ultimately inevitable), I think I'll miss this threadSad.
Question: 'How do I sound more reliable?'

Possible answers:
'Write a big fat sloppy CONFIRMED at the end of every post.'
'Let others experience that what I post is accurate, and understand that there is a learning curve to all things.'
'Your insightful suggestion here.'
'Inform others that all I write is fact, unless otherwise noted as opinion.'(think I like that one the best)

Dance with me.
Yeah, I'm going to miss this thread also... but we could still use it for wiimotes, etc, those are still hard to find, plus, everybody needs 2 or 3 of them Toungue.  Thanks a lot for the info, I'm hoping to get my wii this sunday.  But I'll still post on this thread, whether it be from my computer or my wii!

Let's make it 100 pages long!  Long live the shipment info thread! Smile
i got my wii about a month ago and do you still ahve to wait outside for like 12 hours like i did in order to get wii? or can you just go find one on a shelf yet?
You definitely can't just go find one on the shelf at a random store, unless you are very lucky. However, I'm pretty sure all the hardcore campers have gotten one already. Most likely those of us left won't need to get to the store any earlier than 2-3 hours before it opens to get one.
Looks like a whole rash of targets has them listed as in stock... but if you call the stores they claim they dont. I presume that they have them in inventory now (hence showing up on itrackr) but arent selling them.
Yeah, people have been saying that Target is going to hold their Wii's for the 21st.
I just hope there wont be that many people camping out for Wii's at Target, BB, or CC. I don't want to wake up early!:XD:
Ditto that! My husband and I have two small kids and it's supposed to be in the low 30s on Sunday. Those together don't bode well for camping out for long.
Well if anyone cares you can find them at Blockbuster. I bought one there yesterday. My local store gets it's shipments one Wednesdays. they have gotten one in everyother week for the last few weeks. I guess it helps to work right next store (Eat Fresh!)
A few things to add to the brew. . .

First, I can definitely confirm Piraatbill's info. for Best Buy. I have gone into the store non-stop for an entire week at about 11:30 (when they get their shipments where I live) and they told me yesterday that because I have come in for eight days straight, they felt compelled to tell me that any shipment that they get this week will most likely be entirely held until Sunday. The fella told me they should be getting 45 Wiis and they have to hold at least 20, but most likely they will all be held. So just for a second confirmation for anyone doubting Piraatbill's information.

Second, for anyone looking for controllers of any sort: luck and/or persistence is the key. One of the days I went into Best Buy, there was a single Classic Controller hanging. . . until I snatched it up and kept a firm grasp on it until it was in a bag in my car.

Also, my itracker account said that my Target got Wiis in at 4:30am this morning. However, it is supposed to notify me when they are sold out. I still haven't gotten the e-mail, so I am assuming that they are being held until Sunday.

So Sunday, January 21st seems like the big day!! SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!!

Happy Hunting to everyone. . . including me!! =)
Just going to say it looks like Sunday Best Buy will be having wiimotes(i think nunchuks too, ill confirm tomorrow) so, yay!
Sweet, thanks piraat! Thanks to everyone else who put information on here as well, it's nice to see so many new people posting on this site Smile
