im gonna agree with thypig... you just have to be patient. i didnt wait in any lines or get up extra early. i just happened to look on this post and see that piraatbill said best buy was getting some today and i called two stores the first store had 1 Wii left at 12:30ish and the other still had around 24 Wiis and 2:00 when i went and got mine...
I stongly suggest using the Target number for their Guest Relations, it's been posted in this thread a couple of times. It will save you some effort of running around town and if you call they'll tell you where to look. Just be polite when you call too, no reason to be rude to the people answering the phone, they are probably getting hundreds of phone calls about Wii's and such, especially when they get a shipment in.

I GOT THE Wii!!!!!!! I went to bestbuy around 11 and there it is. about 2 dozen sitting right there, there were lots of people at the video game section, but no one was interested...except me. so i picked one up...and the long quest is over. the funny thing is...i wasn't expecting to actually get it until march. i certainly didn't think i was gonna be walking in, grab one and go. anyhow...many thanks to Piraatbill...without him i wouldn't know to check until the sundays after.
I'll update again around 5PM with any new info on unrecieved stores as well as any new stores PMed to me.

Its really pissing me off that everyone else is getting wii's except me.
i finally found a Wii. i've been looking since before christmas. i happened to look at target at around noon, and they had about 6 or 7, so it might be worth a shot to try them around you area.
I'll be searching for a Wii later this weekend. (Wish me luck!)

wow i just got my WII today. at about 10:50 i called bestbuy and it took a while for someone to answer but when someone did i asked if they had any wii's left and the guy said about 4. so i said thanks and bye. then i called my dad and told him to go to bestbuy. then later, about 20-30mins later he called back and told me that he got one!!! lol i am typing from my WII right now!! good luck to everyone else who is wiiless... thanks to everyone and anyone who helped in this thread. but its time to wii and ill miss everyone in here... later!

I finally just got my wii from Wal-Mart. It was really easy actually. I got there at 11:54 PM, and I was 12th (and last) in line for 24 wii. There were 12 left as of 12:20 AM and no one else buying them. This is at the Gettysburg, PA Wal-Mart.
If you have any 24 hour Wal-Mart around you, I highly suggest checking them out right now. Also, they will be selling them tomorrow morning as well. The one I checked in Frederick, MD said they would start around 6 am.
On a final note, I would like to thank this thread for helping me as much as possible. My personal goal was actually to get the wii the most casual way possible (after a disasterous campout in front of Circuit City), and it was definitely accomplished. Thanks a lot and good luck to whoever is left.
ugh, my walmart got them today (sunday) also, but I dont have enough money. i can only get at ebgames because i have alot of store credit there... shoulda just sold the games and got cash instead
