.. Clearly it's something new and I wouldn't have any idea about it. That would leave this thread.. just a thread of false hopes.
Lol, yeah well strictly speaking it could be Mario Kart Wii. Since we HAVEN'T heard about it. Could be Mario Tennis Wii, could be a new Starfox game or a F-Zero game... so many options.
But I think it will be a new IP.
That would be great.. In my opinion. We already really know about everything else Mario and what not and we basically know kind of what to expect but something new would totally revitalize my spirits. Indeed it would.
It seems like a Nintendo thing to do, they like their secrets and I do recall Miyamoto talking about a new IP... but I could be wrong, it was awhile ago.
Just because it was a while ago doesn't mean it can't be it. Things take time.. and with Nintendo I would say that's a good thing.
Could be, but I hope its a new franchise, Nintendo needs something fresh for their innovative console.

what is IP?
Exactly what I want to know. Every time I've seen IP, it's usually meant as "Internet Protocol." However, I don't think that's what this one means. Can somebody fill us in?
Basically it means first party.
So a new first party franchise is what I'm expecting.
Does anyone else remember hearing about a "halo killer" being made by retro studios that wasn't a metroid game? Could be that...could be something else, haven't heard anything about disaster day of crisis lately but we already know about it, could be Shigsy's new IP, who knows?

Yes, I remember the rumoured "Halo Killer" being made by Retro Studies, but there never was any concrete evidence that it existed. Besides they are busy with Metroid Prime 3 at the moment.
Maybe IGN was lying and just trying to create a stir across the web...
