If my mind doesn't fail me, there was some article on Digg.com that stated that Microsoft would have a 360 price cut...

Can somebody prove or disprove this?

i dont believe this was confirmed yet, because they were named "hints" but in the near future in sure Microsoft will address this

not sure. i remember hearing about it months ago, but MS said they werent planning on doing a price cut for the holidays. if anything, i think they'll have bundles rather than price cuts.

At the launch of the PS3 and Wii, Microsoft sold 1,000 Xbox360 core systems for $100.00 on amazon.

bundles most def. Gamestop had once for the Premium that comes with CoD2 and a full year warrenty

that was Amazon not microsoft. they had a "contest" that where the users could vote for a price they wanted to see it at and they voted for $100.00 so they sold it at that price

you said Microsoft sold 1000, 360's at $100... but it was Amazon themselves that sold them for $100 as a sort of "contest". Not anything to do with price cuts. and i was just clearing that up. but ya ... thanks for bieng a retard.

your probably right, it's totally outrageous to think that Microsoft would team up with amazon to take some of the thunder out of the PS3 and Wii launch. I'm sure that Amazon just did a random price cut, and it just so happened that it was at the other system's launch.

to further your arguement, perhaps this whole thing was done due to an Amazon contest, but i would also have to think that Microsoft either had some part of it or perhaps even suggested it. i rarely see amazon sell anything at a loss, actually i never see them sell anything at a loss, so one can imagine that even though it was under a Amazon flag, the whole thing was probably put on by Microsoft themselves.

amazon had a weekly deal where they list up 4 items and the customers/consumers vote for the item they want to purchase at that price. if the item they choose gets the most votes, amazon then sells it at the predetermined price the following week.

so no, MS had nothing to with it.

meh im bored with my Wii. i got to 2000 in bowling and tennis and 1600 in boxing. and CoD3 frankly just blows, i can only play it ffor like 2 hours max in one day(weekends) cause its just too boriong.
