It seems like half, or even more than half of the time that I enter the shop channel it either goes extremely slow, or it says my internet isn't working (I always do the "connection test" under the settings menu after it says this and my internet works fine). Anybody else having similar problems?
Yeah mine pooted in my face last night, trying to add points...waited...error code. Just power it down, then turn it back on. Like my laptop my wirless connection times out on occasion, need to give it a little nudge. Get the lil fella up and running again is all. No big deal.(pats on the back)
i haven't had any problems with it, ive added a bunch of points and bought a few games and it seemed nice and quick. What internet speed are you using??
least you guys can get online with it.

My reccomendation would be your router... Something with the router.

just blame it on the router, thats what nintendo seems to be doing, lol. i onlt had problem with the shop channel once, but more when im checking for updates, i will get error #'s 52230 and 52130. they say its a problem with your router, im gonna look into it later, let ya know if i can fix it.

I know I probably seem like a broken record...I haven't had any of the Wii issues anyone else has, but here again, I have had no problem with the Wii shopping channel. I wonder if some people's wireless routers are simply making things tough or perhaps wireless internet is being interupted by other people's networks.
My Wii is set up in an apartment complex and it sees something like 8 other wireless networks. It only runs off of mine though because it's password protected. Just a thought.
Other internet features with the Wii such as Sending Miis/Messages go extremely quick. I also have no latency issues while wirelessly connecting with my PSP

I'm sure it's not a bad thing. I have an older Linksys router and it's 802.11b and I am having no problems at all with the Wii and any of it's online capabilities. I'd check the nintendo tech support site and look at prefered routers before going out and buying one though
I've had some prob's, but the router I have (dlink di-524) uses wireless channel 6 by default. Nintendo recommends that it is on 1 or 11. Once I made that change everything was fine.

ah hah, psp, prefures wep shared. 64bit hex
ds and wii prefur wep open. 64bit hex.
try changing that on your router, see if it improves. and btw you might not be able to connect psp with wep open enabled.
