whats your image editor of choice when making sigs? I use Adobe Image Ready CS. but i want to know if anyone else's may work better

Adobe Photoshop CS2 or Macromedia Fireworks MX are my tools of choice

Photoshop is harder to use but you can get better results, Fireworks is easy to use and produces some great results.

I use Photoshop, I switch between 7 and CS depending of the lvl of slowy crapyness of the PC

what features do you guys use usually to combine images and backgrounds to make a good sig? I have Imageready Cs, and Photoshop 7

Magic Wand
and blending/filters if you feel special

It's a terrible idea to use the magic wand. I suggest learning to use the Pen Tool very well.

Yeah, but he's obviously a beginner so I feel he'll get less frustrated by the magic wand

magic wand works good. my sig got lots better. i need to incorperate other things as well. later i may learn to use the pen tool too thank you

another little trick is that if its got a pure white background, set the blending to screen or lighten and you'll keep all the anti-aliasing
