Ok, so i decided to play a little smash bros on my wii so i hook up the GC controllers and memory cards. After im done kicking my friends butt i try to take out my memory card from the Wii and its STUCK!! I seriously cannot get it out. I am afriad to pull as hard as i can because i dont want to ruin the Wii but i really need the thing outta there. Has anyone else had this problem?
this is the type of card stuck in there

that sucks but i dont even have my wii yet. lol sorry
When I first got my Wii I stuck in a couple of GC memory cards to try to transfer the data, which can't be done unfortunately. However, I used the original GC memory cards but I didn't have any problem like you described. Maybe it's just the make of the cards you're using. Hopefully you can get them out though. Good Luck to you buddy.
They might have made the slots a hair thinner, and the first party cards will fit, however, certain third party (high capacity some cases), will be just to large to fit. My reccomendation, once it's out, use a friend's GC, copy to a new regular memory card, and sell the 4x card.
Hold the wii console down with your left hand. Grip the base of the memory card with right hand. Pull straight out, with a lot of force, occasionally shimmying it left and right...if that doesn't work, i don't know what would...
Butter?

If it's not coming out easily, your only hope is to find something to hold down your Wii (like your feet) and get a pair of plyers on that memory card. Wish there was an easier way, but if it's stuck, it's stuck.
How does a GC memory card work, when the Wii uses an SD card? (I believe I'm correct about the SD card, anyway.)

GC Memory cards are for GC games exclusively, SD cards are for Wii Chanels, Music, Pictures, Wii save data etc. Exclusively.
There are slots for GC memory cards on top of your console and 1 SD card slot on the front of your machine...
ok so i finally managed to get it out. my buddy held the Wii and i braced my feet on the side of the couch and pulled as hard as i could and it still barely came out. Looking down at the little pin reader things or whatever they are called in the Wii the one for slot B now looks a little bent in the middle and it looks like there is white powder on it or something. It still works (both slot B and the memory card). Also the memory card fits just fine now, which is wierd. If i have any problems though i have a 2 year warrenty so its all good.
IOW, you can't transfer your GC saves to your SD so you must use your old GC memory cards when you want to play your GC game saves. I hope they make it so that the saves can be transfered later. I'm not even sure how much longer they will make GC memory cards for...

their different, SD cards are used for other things such as digital camera for example. the GC memory card is designed for the gc and only the gc
I think nintendo did this so they can expand on what kind of things they can do with the Wii in the future if they wanted to

I've noticed the Wii Pictures icon when powering the Wii on. It would be pretty awesome to be able to transfer pictures via SD card to the Wii and send them aswell.
Not sure what you're saying there Wii Wii but if I'm reading it correctly you can transfer pictures from your SD card to your Wii by posting them and then you can add them kinda like attachements and email them to others. Ok, hope that helps. Good Luck again with the memory card. 3:10am local time for me. Time to get some sleep. Nite all.

Well, I didn't know that, I appreciate it. I haven't setup my Wii to connect thus far, but I'll be seeing you people online after Christmas!
I'm really lovin' this whole Wii thing.
No problem. I tried it out with my hotmail account and it works perfectly fine both too and from.
what?! you mean after it took all that work to get the memory card out, u put it back in again?! are you crazy!!! i would have kept that memory card as far away as possible, lol.
