Just received my copy of Issue 165 of Game Informer. I believe much of the info about Twilight Princess is already out there, but I don't think anyone caught two cool tibits. The first relates to the much anticipated Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS. At GDC 2006, it was revealed and Iwata hinted it would be out by the end of this year. However, at E3 2006 it became apparent this wouldn't be the case, and The Hylia confirmed a delay to 2007 after speaking with Nintendo at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Game Informer is reporting that Phantom Hourglass has not just been pushed back to "early 2007" as previously reported, but all the way to October 15th, 2007. If so, that means the first DS Zelda adventure will be out next Holiday season. We've also heard rumors the game is getting a major reworking since E3 2006 - as nothing new has been shown for the title since that time.

The other cool bit of information is also a rumor from Game Informer, which states the next Wii Zelda has already been under development for about a year (this sort of contradicts what the Iwata Asks interviews have been saying, but hey, nothing is impossible). The bottom line from the rumor is expect the next Wii Zelda sooner rather than later.

As for Twilight Princess, Link was voted the #1 Hero of 2006, Zant (The Twilight King) was voted the #2 Villain of 2006, The Postman was voted the #9 Dork of 2006 and Twilight Princess took home Game of the Year and #1 Moment of the Year. The game also received Game of the Month honors and received a perfect 10.

Awesome!!!!!!! I hope they don't rush it though
Even for a rumor, this is amazing news. Even if it's "rushed" I don't think we'll be seeing this one for a year and a half at least.
A Zelda with Wii graphics coming sooner than expected? High-Five Nintendo. Big Grin
HUZZAH!Ignorance is bliss
How long has it been between the zelda's, i know between Zelda OOT and Zelda TP was something like 7 years, was there one in between.

There's more than one dude. Are you forgetting majoras mask or wind waker? Then there were some handheld ones as well.

if Nintendo puts another Zelda game out so soon, it'll be another oddball game with the same engine and lots of same graphics and characters. think Majora's Mask
While a new Zelda game would rock, I hate to think that it would end up being to much of the same thing. If they did improve the graphics and had a good storyline and game play then it will be fine. Hopefully just not another majora's mask. :/
i've played a little bit of majora's mask and heard that most of the game was really good. what's wrong with MM?
I liked MM myself. Actually thought it was near Orcarina of Time, but not quite. *Flinches for fear of fanboy extremists*
I never finished MM so I might download it, it looked like Ocarina but was a totally different game.
i really liked MM too...i thought it was just as fun as OoT...not as great but just as fun....if that makes sense....probly not....
I loved both OOT (playing it again for the 20th time, only this time: Master Quest!) and MM (as well as WW) but there was just somthing about MM i didnt like....oh yea! the 3 day cycle, kinda annoying. though certainly not enough to leave it out of 3rd place in my list of greatest Zeldas. WW is somehow second, i dont even know why, it didnt have enough dungeons for my liking (though the ones it had were fun) and the sailing was kinda annoying, though my love of the sea helped that....especially when i find my self sitting on the king of red lions in first person mode staring at the moon.......anyway...OOT obviously first, why? i loved it, greatest adventure game ever, im not a crazy fanboy of it though, so i wont be saying it beats all....heck there are games that kick OOT straight in the as....rear.
