Too bad there's at least 1 million of these "limited edition straps" out there.

When you are forced to replace an item it is a recall my friend. But Nintendo looks to be cheaping out on us. I know how to hold my wiimote its the company who plays my system I worry about. Not to mention I play on a 4 thousand dollar tv. I have alot to lose.

id like to jsut get a wii...but the dam things barly ever get shipped in.

and how long did you have to wait to get your wii and how did you get it? im in ontario and i have to wait for a shipment to come in futureshop cause unfortunatly i only have futureshop gift certificates...

i waited in line from 7 to 9:45...on nov 19...i didnt have a preorder...i was 23 of 33...so i just got lucky i guess

yea i just keep calling futureshop cause all they told me was to keep checking until they get some, cause they say theyre drop off shipments so they can show up any time of the week :>_<:

i dont see how ppl are breaking things while playing the wii. i think they're were just being careless.

I bought Red Steel on Nov 19 as a motivator to get my ass to buy a Wii, then TP once I found a copy about a week later, then Rayman soon there after... got my Wii on Dec 6 by waiting in line in front of a Wal-Mart in Oakland, CA from 2:30am till 8:30 when I actually had it in hand. I got number 7 of 10.

Yeah, I read about this. People's straps breaking and hurling their Wii-motes through tv's and even hitting innocent bystanders. Nintendo said they would be shipping stronger straps with each new unit and you can send in and get one for free if you already own a unit.

I ordered the straps just in case. Eventually my current one may wear. and having a thicker strap is a better safe then sorry thing. I dont swing like a maniac but im not the only one who plays soooo my replacement straps ship out on the 21

Just got the message this morning that my new straps are on their way. Not very exciting, but it's better than a kick in the head with a broken snowshoe.

what does the new strap look like? isnt it alot more like a circle shape and like a little rope?

I just got an em a few days ago about that replacment, still haven't gotten around to doing it though. Not really worried about hurling it but its better safe than sorry, correct.

Yeah, it's always better to be safe than sorry. I don't think the best thing would be throwing your Wii-mote across the room and knocking out your best friend or your brother with it. Could you imagine explaining that to your parents or even the paramedics?
