I ahve bought Sonic off the Wii Shopping Channel and it seems to run much slower than the original game which I ahve played on the mega drive itself. When i jump, sonic jumps slower. Also when i collect rings, the clinging sound when collecting is sometimes not played for some rings. The act completion sound is also not sounding correct.

hmmmm.....i downloaded it too and i dont seem to have THAT many problems....maybe delete it and try to redownload it....i dunno....but you can do that it might help cause i kno mine isnt that bad...its still an emulation so its not perfect
I've played a couple games.. and they don't diminish my feeling of playing them back in the day. I have not had issues but I didn't download Sonic.
I ahve tried deleteing and redownloading but to no avail. What should I do.
hmmm...i really dont know....well maybe wait till tomorrow or somethin and redownload it again....i dont see why this would work but maybe somekind of server thing or something....i really dont kno but im trying....sorry

PAL owners be warned! Sonic is not optimised on the PAL Virtual Console. You will still have fun if you choose to become reacquainted with Sega's classic platformer however you will have to put up with black borders at the top and bottom of the screen and substantially slower gameplay than the NTSC counterpart which is a bit of a killer for a speedy game such as this.

Uk - I just remembered that nintendo might update the VC games so hopefully this is why that update feature will be come useful - to convert games for pal!
yup thats the problem....PAL....sorry, but im sure there is gonna be an update cause nobody can play a game like that...plus nintendo would lose a lot of money cause nobody in the uk will buy vc

if u wanna play sonic just buy the mega sonic collection for gamecube thats what i did lol got sonic 1,2,3 , sonic and knuckles, sonic spinball,sonic 3d, dr robotnics mean bean machine.
PAL sucks. We always get bad deals.
pal sucks to a certain extent, over in europe as far as technology goes you guys are like 2 years a head of us. I know in Cellular phones u guys have some kick ass phones. Here in the US we just got the 3G network and from what i know you guys had the for over a year or 2 lol
