i noticed then when i email my wii it takes it a loooong time to recieve it....it takes like 10 mins maybe more....just wonderin if anyone else has this problem?
I've only gotten one message and that was from someone on this forum, and it was really quick. I'm not sure what kind of internet you have. Mine is setup through Verizon DSL and is the lowest priced package at like 14.99 a month which is like 768kbs up. Plus i'm hooked up through a wireless B lnksys router
yeah and my wifes email never recieves my wii email no matter how many times we try.Hotmail blows. And no its not in the junk either.
Yeah I think it depends on a couple of factors.. You can't just expect it to be all that speedy.
aww geez then mine should go quick...i think its because im using the wirelss router and the desktop computer is number 1....or something....i really dont kno....but i just hope it doesnt make my online experience...when it comes out....slow
Just check the strength of your connection through the Wii's settings.
yea my connection is great....outstanding.....3 whole bars haha
Maybe this is just conspiracy theory, but do you think the problem is Hotmail (which is owned and run by Microsoft). Either way, I'll try mine later and see if I have the same issue your having.
i sent it through yahoo tho haha...its not a big deal now until it affects my ssbb online....it better be online....i hate lag
mine takes less then five mins really. but one thing i did notice while testing my wii online stuff (i mentioned this somewhere else too) is that the wii is not connected every second. it "hits" the web like every 6 seconds, and if it sees there is something to download, it connects more steadily, or if u go to the wii shop channel it does the same thing. i suspect this is just to save energy, or maybe put less strain on your internet, i dont know, but that could be why it takes a few mins instead of being faster.
The first time mine took a while but now it seems to take about 10 minutes or so. It won't be instant because it's not hotmail to hotmail account so you will have some delay.
i think there is a problem with certain email addresses, i can't email my account from the wii, but i can email my gf's, it might be cause i have a hyphen in my address but im not sure
I had problems with it randomly picking up and sending emails, but since i gave the wii a static IP its been fine.
Yeah it just really depends. Some of them I get rather fast within 5 to 10 minutes.. while others I do not get for maybe afew hours up to half a day.
It depends on loads op stuff. Like your ping with the server of Nintendo, your I-net connection speed and the speed the server or protocol Nintndo's uses to send stuff..
