Your tv isn't too big....it's a stupid setting somewhere, but I can see where this would be very frustrating for you. Have you checked the Nintendo website and looked under tech support?

Personally I prefer the sharpness and the jagged edges over the softness and fairly blurry edges I was seeing beforehand.
Also, are any of the games we have available to us today actually games that were MADE for the Wii?
Sure, Wii sports was, but it is also sort of a Demo. I don't think it's fully capable of showing just what the Wii can do.
From what I understand, Wii sports wasn't even supposed to be a game at all. It was just something the developers were using to work out the bugs with controller movement, boundaries, etc.
Any others? Was Excite Truck? If it was, how does IT look?
