..how do you get rid of the annoying bubble messages that pop up each time it tries to connect to your ds/wii

I'm using it for my wii, and when the Wii is off, and i'm browsing the internet or just idle and doing nothing....the little bubble message will pop up in bottom right corner saying "A user is connected blah blah" every random minute or so.

There has to be some registry edit or hack to get rid of these annoying bubble messages Sad
I don't have one, so I don't know...

but I've been meaning to ask an owner--what kind of range do you get on it? I don't want to have to invest in an entire wireless set up since all I own is my desktop, which is wired, so I thought this might be a good alternative.

sorry I couldn't help, though...
If you are using windows xp, right click on your task bar (lower right hand corner), Then:
Select Properties
Then Customize
Then set the Wi-Fi adapter to "Always Hide"

Yeah, that's the cheap work around that i'm using - but i'm hoping to find a real way to just plain old get rid of the icons/bubble popping action

My computer is right next to my wii, so i get perfect signal, but i've read reviews on it that said after about 30 feet, you'll start noticing lag/signal drop.

My entire house is wired for my network, so i didn't feel like changing to a wireless router just for my wii (and my router is all the way across the house anyways)
