What do you guys think about adding falling snow to the site for the remaining days of the month of December? I have the code for it that I use on my website if anyone wants to take a look at what it looks like. Just a thought that might look cool.
Side Note: if you DO look at my site then know it's a site that some of my close friends asked me to make so we could chat. Unfortunately all of those friends have pretty much no experience in posting on websites but I still keep the site for those who actually do post once in a blue moon.
Edit: if you look at my web for example, click on Forums on the right side because the snow doesn't seem to fall all the way down on the portal. On the forums you can see it properly.

I really dislike sites that use nasty hacks like that but if enough people agree I could look into it
I think as long as the snow is subtle it'd be cool, but snow flakes all over your screen is just annoying.
I saw no snowflakes... I did, however, notice my cursor constantly switching between santa and a reindeer
i got no snow either. is it in IE thing? cause i'm running Firefox. what if the snow just falls over the WiiLoaded.com banner across the top. maybe a nice touch to the santa hats

Hmm, wasn't aware of the firefox not being able to view the snow. Interesting to know though. Sorry to offend Dragon, didn't really think of it as a hack, just come coding that I know a lot of sites use. As for the snowflakes, you can adjust them to be more or less. I have them coming down pretty heavy on the forums part but on the portal they only cover the very top. Did you guys give it time to load? Maybe it hadn't loaded yet, the first time it takes it a while.

Yeah, I'm strict on my coding practices, so I don't like using something that won't work in every browser, and consider it a hack, If enough people though it was a good Idea I could work on a standards complient script. Thankyou very much for the input though

I totally understand. I have one question/suggestion. If it's there and I simply don't see it then I apologize in advance, but what about putting a "top" button on the posts. I mean the button that you find next to posts so that you can quickly go back to the top.
If you could find a way to make it work on all browsers, but contain it to the logo, that would be nice.

at the pottom of the page or for each post?
Yeah, at the bottom there should be a button to let u click on it to take u back to the top so you can change the thread. Is it already there and I'm just missing it? I'll go and look extra careful now.
Edit: Ok, I just saw it at the very bottom of the page. I was thinking more of the kind where it is at the bottom of the last post on a page, like where it says alert.
