Yeah, I'll keep my white one cause I love it a lot but different colored Wimotes would be nice. The reduction in price would be nice too for those who don't have it yet. Probably dropped the price fifty and it will ship without Wii Sports though. That's my guess anyways.
Yeah, i saw on gamestop that they are selling Wii Sports for $50. Lol!!!

A colored Wii would be awesome but I've already got my Wii and I'm perfectly happy with it. Honestly, colors don't really matter. But a tech upgrade? Why would they do that and not give it to those who already have a wii?
You know the PS2?
there have been fifteen hardware updates since launch
Xbox has had 6
Gamecube has had 3
Usually, just different hard disks/fans/dvd drives, but one of the PS2 revisions had more memory than the older ones (it was originally sold as the PS2+, but they ditched the "+" in the name in the next revision)

Also from what they're stating is that the new Wiis will possible have DVD support, those in Japan will at least. That's gonna suck for those of us who arleady bought it if it can't be done via an update (please, no debate about if it can or can't be done by update, old post). Oh well, those of us who have ours already have to think about the time we got to play ours before others so don't be too upset.

heheh, no debate, it can. Microsoft added HD-DVD support via an update. (of course you need the drive) but the wii already had a DVD drive

Yes, I agree with you but many people will come here and start posting otherwise and try to make a war about it. I honestly think it should be able to but Nintendo is making it seem that it will require different hardware. Oh well, if you look at the different mod sites out there they are claiming that when they finish with it that it will play games from every region as well as dvds from every region too.

I dont think Nintendo would make an update that previous Wii owners wouldnt be able to pick up as well. We all remember the N64 Expansion Pak. A small little upgrade most of us got when we bought certain some games or bought separately.
And like D4rk said it shouldn't even need debate. The hardware is already there.

but Nintendo's never really been one to try and sponge off others' hype. Nintendo usually does things by their own calendar, not based off another company's. the new GameCube colors came i think a year after the original release. i'd expect that if Nintendo is going to do new colors and a price drop, it'd likely happen next holiday season
Actually, that's extremely not true. Nintendo does it all the time.

I hope a tech upgrade only means dvd playing ability. I could care less about that.
