I know Opera will be free for a while. I have my wii, but cant play it till X-mas. What I wanna know is if Im going to have to pay for it after that time is up or its just free for the people who download it before then? Im hoping i dont have to pay for it, especially after experiencing it for free. Also, Im pretty sure it wont be, but is it gonna be a monthly charge? If so Im not even gonna bother, thats what I have a computer for
I was thinking the same thing...except the monthly fee. I highly doubt they'll do that...and as much as I hope they use cookies, that might bog up the onboard memory...if you use it a lot. Also, does anybody know when a keyboard will be available for the wii? It has usb ports...and I don't think it has any options for them yet...
My thoughts exactly, if they try to charge me money for a pretty mediocre web browser then they can shove it. I have a computer with the Godly Firefox so why would I want to pay for Opera?
I think it'll be free for download until June, but people who want it after June will have to pay and if your lucky enough to have it before June then your safe.

ok, we know pretty much NOTHING about this subject. there have been reports saying that a version or a beta version (depending on what report u read) will be coming out on the 23rd of this month. we dont know about cookies or anything of the sort. we do know that it supports flash though. preferably, if u have it before june (which is when it starts to cost) that it will be free.

What they've said can be taken two ways. One could mean that if you download it before June then it will be free but others who haven't downloaded it will have to pay OR it could mean that you can use it for free until June and then if you want to continue using it you'll have to buy it through the VC. Problem is no one knows right now which one.
