Boutros' source says that MGS4 will be coming to the Xbox 360 shortly after the PS3 release. The source says Konami is concerned that there will still not be enough PS3 units out there to make the game profitable. This is the same rationale being used by many publishers, including Ubisoft, to jump off the exclusive bandwagon. Somebody has to pay the bills and the wider the net, the more money publishers will make. We, along with probably everyone else, will be following up with Konami and Microsoft for comment tomorrow. This story isn't going away until somebody sneaks up on it from behind, chokes it senseless and drags it into a storage locker.

konami is the publisher. kojima productions really doesnt have much say in it.
If this is indeed official, then the PS3 quite possibly lost some serious thunder. There's two ways to look at this:
1. The PS3 needs a new license to back up its powerful system.
2. MGS4 is the opening of the floodgates, releasing exclusive titles from the PS3's nest.

Good point, and I'm sure Konami would be interested in making more money. So its likely that it will be ported to XB360.
I mean Metal Gear Solid 2 got ported to XBox.
I confess to being somewhat suspicious.
First, I read the article. It mentions it being Saturday (currently, its Sunday) , and that more info would be available the next day (today). Well, there isn't any.
Then I went to gamespot and IGN and neither site has anything on the subject. It COULD be that they're waiting for official word, but Gamespot would release a "Rumor Control" article on this, at the very least.

The FF rumours are there, but I dunno how true they will be. I think Square has committed the FF numbered series to Sony. They could give Microsoft some off-cuts like lame FF-XI or a disappointing spin-off like CC.

So it can be played on a broader audience on a cheaper system. Sounds good to me.
Lets not forget the devs don't find the PS3's small audiance profitable enough to even release the game.
By the time MGS4 comes out the PS3 audience will be bigger, as Australia will have it as well.
