Hmmm, I just checked my Wii a couple of minutes ago and I did have the blue light with a message but it was from someone that added me and messaged me. If the updates are automatic then it could have just updated by itself and I didn't notice. Anywayz, I'll check again soon.
Nah the memo from ninty said that the forecast channel was live and you had to go do the update. It didnt update automatically.
Hmm, okay. I'm off to go and try to update but not sure I can since I didn't receive any message.
Dang, we still have to wait until tomorrow before we can get it. I just read that it's available to only the U.K. and Austraila at this time. It's because of the time zone difference. I'm stuck in the middle because I have a U.S. Wii and live in Thailand, which is about 12 or 13 hours ahead of the east coast in the U.S. (depends on daylight savings time). I guess it's reading that since it's U.S. I can't get it. I'm gonna go full around with the zones and see what I can do. I'll post back my results.

Nope, I can't change to Austraila or U.K. I can only change to countries in North America mostly since my Wii is U.S. It's ok, another day won't kill me. Just feel so excited about ...weather... That's so weird, I used to poke fun at my dad for watching the weather channel and stuff. I just want to finally have another working channel since we don't have the cards here yet to be VC games.
yeah I also hope that the weather channel is really on going. I really dont like this having to connect to the wii shopping channel and basically every online thing. I thought Nintendo said its online all the time. I guess to some extent it is, but come on I think it can be pushed a little further.

It would be a bit tricky if I used the credit card with a Thai address on a Wii that is for the U.S. I've tried doing something like this before for some other kind of games and it's just a big hassle. I just picked up PangYa and now I'm waiting for my work to start. When I picked up PangYa, I asked the guy at the shop about the cards and he told me they don't have them but he can order them. I asked how much and he told me for 1000 points it would cost approximately 800 baht or about $20 U.S.
I can pick up some points cards for you. You'd just paypal me, and I'd PM you the code from the back of the card to enter online. BTW, we have 2000 point cards for 19.99 USD, but of course you'd have to pad it for PayPal fees ($2 max?)
