Basically i've missed the howling stones and didnt activate them when in wolf form, i'm at the moment in the lakebed temple, and wouldnt mind getting some of these hidden skills.

I wouldn't worry about it.....finish lakebed temple and you'll see what i mean

to answer the question of the thread...like can pretty much turn into a wolf/human whenever he wants, but if your in an area where there are people Midna will basically tell you not to, so you gotta go to a place where no one is around or watching.
