I saw Rocky Balboa tonight and loved it! This one is pretty much just like the rest of them ony it had more depth. I actually felt attached to the character throughout the movie rather than just during the last fight when my shoulders are shifting and hands are clinched. If anyone liked any of the past Rockys I think you will enjoy this one as well. If anyone is just looking for raw heavy hitting action you might want to just movie hope and catch the last 15 or so minutes of the movie. Rocky Balboa is about 90% drama and 10% action and I admit the drama in this film even had my eyes water just a little. To keep from spoiling anything i'll just say this movie may make you feel a little sad, but it does still manage to keep that "how many punches you can take and keep coming forward" theme.
I'll leave it at that unless of course anyone has questions.
Does "Eye of the Tiger" play, because if not then grrrr... Lol. Best Rocky song ever.

Instrumental is fine, I love instrumental music. Good to hear, I would have been pretty cut if it didn't appear in the last Rocky film.
But in the trailer there was some lame modern music, is there more of that in the film? (rap, hip-hop... you know, those tired genres)

Placing is important and as long as it is well placed then this man is happy.
The movie really didn't suffer from any of those modern transition problems. To me it felt just like the other ones really...except that it isn't so intense. I think this was intentional though.
Interesting, I will check it out after Christmas and after I see Bond.

I read this reveiw with one eye closed just in case of spoiler but thankfully I found none. I'm seeing this movie probably more than once because as I've mentioned I'm a Rocky nut! Ok, that sounds kinda weird but I can't wait to see this!

Although Rocky almost always wins, if he loses I don't wanna see it. It'd be too sad to see an old man lose. I'd actually probably cry. (I'm rather sensitive.)
Just a recommendation: If you haven't seen Rocky in awhile and managed to build him up as a Master Chief/Link or Roy (for you Lemon) smash drag lay'em out machine that will knock anyone off of the planet. Go thru the Rocky movies again, I did and I appreciated Rocky Balboa a lot more than what some critics are saying...enjoy!
