it didn't really bother me before, but now it totally pisses me off.
i was trying to find a certain post and was using the Search option to try and find it. the problem: the 1 minute limit for searches. i can see when we're doing site games like "find the post", but i'm trying to add to the site and find answers but all i get is "please wait 40 more seconds before searching again." it even gives me this after clicking the "View Today's Posts" link then trying to search. is the limit really that vital?
I believe when we updated the site's software, this value was reset to 60 by default, and we missed it. Admin's are not limited by the search queue, so we just didn't notice it, and no one has mentioned it until now.
I have reset the value to 20, so please let me know if this is still too long. I have also updated the search engine to be more powerful/quicker, so let me know if it works and/or if you have trouble with anything.

is there a reason to have the limit at all? you said admins don't have it, so apparently it's not set up to restrict on the "find a post" games or admins would obviously have a huge advantage. just a way to cut the site's lag or something? but how often do people actually use the search engine? everyone's already using the "Today's Post" option which apparently is the same thing, or is there some kind of website/computer mumbo-jumbo that i totally won't understand going on?

Admins don't participate on "Find this post games" because we can track edits, etc.
And yes, it is to reduce lag as it uses up lots of Database queries to do (Which may not be much of an issue anymore, I'll have to check)
And Today's Posts uses the seach funtions to find the posts made in that day
personaly I dont like it. It only helps you find a user doent it?
