maybe it's because it's the beta, but I don't think the Wii stores any cookies. I tried "remember me on this computer" for a number of different sites to no avail... will this be changed with the release of the final version of the browser?
Its possible, where would they store the cookies though? On the measly 512mg drive or on SD cards?
no options to enable it?
Are you guy talking about this?

Error Code
564654156 (some number)
Please try again later

*when I tried to connect to the shop channel*
Error Code:209576
Unable to connect with server
Pleaser wait a moment and try again.

cookies are extremely small files. a couple kb at most.

Kewl, I'm posting from my Wii! Anyway, the Opera browser works for me, so what the crap?

Eventually they'd stack up (and yes I mean HARDCORE eventually lol)

Cookies are probably going to be added later. I'm still posting from my Wii for practice!
Most likely, since it is just Beta.
Yeah My guess is cookies will be a feature of the "Pay" final version.....cookies are a must for internet usage these days
Exactly, cookies are a must. If we need to pay just to have something like cookies then that's just a terrible cash grab. I'd be able to live without em.
And even with the cookies pileing up, I don't think they take up THAT much memory. And if you really needed to, you could just delete all your unwanted/needed cookies.
actually guys, after trying out the internet channel, it does IN FACT store cookies. i was able to log in to my own website, which you cannot log into with cookies disabled.

hopefully the final version will allow access to view and delete them.
Well this sure sheds some light on the subject while making it more and more interesting too.

i think you have no idea what a cookie is, lol.

I think what they're having a problem with is that the cookies aren't saved after the browser is closed. So every time you open the browser you'll need to log in again, unlike with a PC browser.

But when I logged into WiiLoaded.com, then went to another page, and then came back, it still remembered me. I thought it stored cookies because I never encountered a problem from the lack of them.

Like I said, as long as the browser is open. Going to different web pages changes nothing. It's once you turn off the Wii or go back to the Wii menu that your cookies are erased.
