ok im barely 30 minutes into the game. And i have to catch a fish for the cat. Havent caught a fish in the last 30 minutes. Is this nintendos idea of having fun. Make you sit for 30 minutes watching the water with the fish just swimming by ur lure?
Hmm... Are you just sitting there, or are you teasing the fish with your lure? You gotta wait till the bobber is totally submerged into the water and then when a fish is near you pull back on the Wiimote. Here's a fishing guide in case that wasn't clear.

Ooh! I did that! (on my friend's gamecube) just move the thing-ee around! oh and reel the thing-ee in sometimes! that's just what I did.
