Old topic since it was a launch game but I finally rented it a few days ago and i found it extremely fun. But I also found it extremely easy. In just a few hours I beat the whole Excite circuit, and after a few hours more the next day, I already beat every section but the last one in Super Excite, I have to work on the platinum cup. Once you beat the platinum cup, does it do anything else? I ask because I just rented it on a gamefly pass...so I will swap it for another game soon if there are no other goals...
The control is awesome and the controls are easy but fun. The levels are designed very awesome with the jumps and such.
Games like this are the reason the system are fun! The game that looks like this on ps3 is graphically insane, but this is insanely fun!

I had the chance to try it for only ten minutes but I loved those ten minutes of it. As for your question I believe I read somewhere that you can unlock Super Excite mode/circuit or something like that.
i just got it for christmas and it does seem a little bit on the easy side, but i havent unlocked super Excite mode yet so hopfully that will make it harder. Also, i love running people off the road
It's fun and I'll probably get it later on, but multiplayer should really add to the experience.
Definitely a party game! Me and my brothers/friends are shouting and yelling while playing and my parents keep getting all mad
definately for parties. The main reason i got it was for my Wii Parties. Its a nice and easy pick-up-and-play game.
it gets harder when you get super eXcite
ive heard its a pretty nice graphical game, gameplay is nice aswell , Problem is it isnt out in U.K Yet goddammit
i got to super excite and beat it and also got to the Diamond course and beat it on my first try! I had a truck with top speed...it was pretty easy for the final course and it sure looks trippy. Its like your in the sky on ice haha.
either way it was an awesome game. I beat the levels with B or A ratings and some S's, and it said to beat the super excite on all S to get reverse mode...I didn't care to...so i returned it to gamefly for another game!
I'm glad you brought this up, I got some information on the game reading everyone's posts. I was wondering if it was as fun as it looked. I haven't got my Wii yet, but I've been watching Excite Truck.
The fun factor is huge, although I don't find it lasted too long and was easy as I said, but its a definitely ground breaking racer I think. The controls are very easy to grasp and its super fast paced and you HAVE to do the custom SD mp3's, it makes the game seem so more intense w/ your own songs!
Wow.... I forgot about getting to add your own songs! If you wouldn't mind, I don't know too much about the SD part of all of this. Could you please explain what I have to do to get MP3s on my Wii for the Excite Truck game, and for possible future games to follow in it's footsteps?
i just made a folder called mp3 in the root directory and copied em there...the system searches and finds mp3s on the sd card when u go into options, set it to the SD! enjoy!
Thanks for the info man. I'll keep that in mind. Do you know of any other games that allow you to play your own music? Or any upcoming titles that allow you to do the same?
Nothing's been announced about future releases and Excite Truck is the only launch window game to use this.
Crap, more money gonna be spent now. I keep telling myself to space my games out and not get too many at one time. I just got PangYa (SSG) and just started playing it and now I really want Excite Truck too. I prefer party games over single player games at this point in my life and I liked this game when I tried it before. That time I was trying it in a store alone and it sounds like even more fun now.
It's 2 player split screen right? If so can you pick how the screen splits like horizontally or diagaonally like some other games do?
Easy? Excite Truck is easy? I guess if you're not trying to beat all of the courses with S's maybe. You haven't really won until you've done that though.
Seriously, we played for 12 hours after I got this for Christmas and had just unlocked Super Excite, and I can't even get S's on a couple of the bronze tracks in Super Excite mode (at least not yet).
It is loads of fun as a party game though. It's great when someone's trying to do a tree run and they clip one and everyone in the room jumps because they're so engrossed.
the normal mode was very easy to beat on S, and super excite I just played thru real quick and got B's and A's and a S here and there...it was a rental, so my only goal was to beat the game...I didn't find it worth keeping to beat super excite with all S's just to play reverse mode...either way its a great game!
