Thats EB for you. In Australia they don't give you money for games you trade in, they just add the total you would get for the game onto a product you want to buy.
I learnt this ages ago so I haven't shopped at EB for awhile.
Hey lemon man, just to let you know -- your list helped me so much in completing the Australian list for my project! thanks much!
I got screwed at EB when I was still in the states too. They only screwed me once and then I learned my lesson and went to other places. That's life, sometimes it sucks, learn from our mistakes and get stronger, we can't change the past (unless you go with that guy in a certain persons Sig on here...)

Same here. You can't even get store credit in Canada. Everything has to be done during your purchase. As least that's how I remember it. It's been an eternity since I've traded in given up my games to EB.
Thats why I try "NOT" to go support EB games.. I RARELY buy anything there as:
1.) In-store credit is a rip off for you, not for them... ($60 on new zelda game == lame credit value)
2.) Everything is at least 6 or 10 dollars more.
3.) You can always go elsewhere, lots of people go to EB == less stock, go to other stores = more for you
I've never seen the over-value prices there. Ever. For the place I go to, anyway, always sells at MSRP. $60 for Zelda? Are you in the U.S.?
They do suck. I pre-ordered Zelda a long time back, and when they called for the reminder thing that they have them in stock, they actually called to say that they sold out. WTF.
Yeah EBgames, Gamestop, or any Barne & Noble company sucks. Just get your games from amazon or the retail stores since you don't get any good deals at EB.
You aren't the only one they screwed over this holiday season

you know, i hate to say it, but walmart is the best, you get crappy service, but youll pay less then you will anywhere else, or target, there good. but really any specialty store, even like best buy and CC cost more. but EB is by far the worst of them all.
Same with Zellers and Superstore in Canada. The Wal-Marts aren't exactly less expensive. Sometimes things cost more there.
