Ok, I need to let out some steam and tell you guys about my day. GRR!

Yesterday I found out that EB Games was getting a shipment in on the 26th (today) of Wii's. I was planning on going at around noon, but some stuff came up and I didn't go until a few minutes ago (6:00 my time). I only had $226 cash, so I had to sell some games. I went to EB Games and asked if they had any Wii's, they said they got a 'suprise' (yeah, right) shipment, and they were sold out. IF I HAD ONLY GONE AT 12 I WOULD HAVE A WII! They said they are getting another shipment in next week, and told me to call to see when they get it. I sold my games, and I was like eh, I'll just get store credit ($58). So I officially have enough for a Wii, only at EB Games though. I went over to target afterwards (right next-door) and they still had 3 Wii's! I went back to EB Games and asked If I could convert that credit to cash since I just sold it, (I would have about 45 bucks cash) but the jerk said no. I OFFICIALLY H8 EB GAMES. So yeah, now I have to wait next week to get a Wii. WTF. thank you for reading

That sucks so much ass. Bestbuy is getting shipments Friday, although that doesn't help much. Ebgames isn't that reliable, but it depends on the guy. I see some jerks in there but others are helpful. I've had mostly god experiences, but that guy can go f* himself.

thats why i hate ebgames becuase even if you choode to just get cash for oyur games they take like a fee which is gay

Yea they take like 20-25% off. This guy explained that simple little thing for like 10 minutes one time. God, sometimes it's hard to pretend to care.

First of all, we told you not to do it (check off-topic).
Second, you should've just kept all the stuff you gave them until you were sure they had Wiis.
Third, I f****** hate EB's crappy trade-in policies. They can go to hell for all I care. The only reason I shop there is because they're the only purely video game retailer near me.
You couldn't have just asked friends or family for a little extra cash?
I feel for you man, I really do. If that was me I probably would've grabbed the EB guy by the throat and demanded I get my money back while throwing in a few f-bombs and what not in the process before security dragged me out.

kidrik i know what u mean, lol. those guys that work at ebgames get a power trip because they can make a bunch of 12 year olds lifes miserable, and it makes them losers. maybe we can start a nationwide mob and go around and string up all employees of EBgames, then the next group of people to work there will be nice cause they dont want to be strangled bya mob=)

ps i am doing my best to get the assistant manager from my EB fired cause he was such a jack @$$ when i bought my wii.

For 3 years now I've boycotted EB as far as trade-ins go. I hope you'll all join because you'll find you'll be a lot happier and will have more money to spend on newer games if you sell to friends and others.
The day I realised all this was when I traded in Mega Man Legends 2 for PSone and got $4 in store credit, then came back a couple days later and saw them selling my copy for $24.99! >:O

i know exactly how you feel. i went to futureshop on the 24th in the morning hoping they might have a shipment in the morning. of cource none so the guy says we are getting some boxing day in the morning or in the aftrernoon. so camped out last night at 11:00 pm and waited til 6am in the freezing rain to find out that they only have shitty xbox 360's and they didnt get any wii's, and weren't getting any that day. very shitty night, and they said they probably arent even gonna get any till mid january so f.uck futureshop im gonna try to get best buy on the 29th, and keep checking in EB games.

I am VERY selective over where I shop...especially eb,gamestop etc. I prefer to spend my money ANYWHERE but there. Thats why when the Wii preorders dropped I waited in line at wal mart instead. You will get one patience is a virtue.....

oh i know i will get one. i just want one as soon as possbile cause it would be nice to get a good amount of time in playing it while im on my 2 week break from school.

Same here. If I get it in January then I'll probably limp through the rest of first semester and exams since I won't be studying. (then again, I never study )

lol yea, exams are easier than most people make them out to be anyways.

Man, some stores are just, I dunno, hope you didn't want/need those games you sold.

I gotta show more simpathy for you people, since I magicly got one on Christmas....

just how he treated me when i was in there, he treated me like i know absolutely nothing. when in fact the things he was saying made him sound like a huge moron, and i went in there like 10 times to see the wii and each time he was like that, he also was the same way to some of my family.

This is how I see it; If you are not a super gamer/nintendo nerd, then the employees don't give a rat's @ss about you.

Thats why I try "NOT" to go support EB games.. I RARELY buy anything there as:

1.) In-store credit is a rip off for you, not for them... ($60 on new zelda game == lame credit value)
2.) Everything is at least 6 or 10 dollars more.
3.) You can always go elsewhere, lots of people go to EB == less stock, go to other stores = more for you
