Preface--I didn't really know where to put this, as all it is is praise for Nintendo. Feel free to move it, mods (as though you needed my permission Toungue )

In anticipation of my Wii, I bought a fourth GCN controller since one of mine was lost long ago. Sadly, the analog stick busted, and now it just scrolls all over the place. I called them up to get it replaced, when I realized I had lost the receipt. Oh noes! I still called, though, and mentioned my missing receipt. They didn't really care, and they're shipping me a new one, free of charge!

I love you Nintendo! Best. Customer Service. Ever.
Uh-oh, if this is let out, people might just try to take advantage of it. OH NOES!
Nintendo has been great with any situations that I've encountered.
I've never had to use Nintendo's customer service although I've always known there was a safety net under me.
Unlike Sony who did next to nothing after my PSone croaked.
Wow, nice!
Yeah, Nintendo kicks butt in customer service. Unlike sony. Or microsoft. (I've heard many negative comments about sony and microsoft, but all positive about nintendo.)
The worst part about my Sony story is that when I called them they wouldn't even replace my console for free (it overheated). My parents were unwilling to pay for the replacement and ship the console to Sony so their next piece of advice? Turn it on it's side and play. And by jove it worked (I've never said jove before ^_^), but it was really annoying to have to do it every time. I will also say that it was pretty durable. I was really pissed off one day because my PSone was getting worse and worse and my games were somehow being scratched that I had almost nothing left. It was just a really bad day altogether that when a game froze while I was in the middle of it I picked up my PSone and threw it as hard as I could into the floor. It still worked after and I was still kind of mad.
Nothing angers someone quite like a messed up console Toungue
Wow Kindrik, that sounds pretty rough. And of course, Nintendo will probably ALWAYS have great customer service.

Nintendo, gotta love it! =D
It's not really when or where you bought the Nintendo product, because it's still that, a Nintendo product. There is no reason they would need the receipt information.
Only to make sure your warranty is still in effect

They are a great service, but my only gripe is that console repairs are a little pricey ($75 for a DS screen replacement)
Actually, they track when the console was purchased by the serial number being scanned at the retailer, and thus no receipt is needed to get warranty work done.

They charged me only $40 for a DS screen replacement last year, after I called them.

... well did you happen to mention Wiiloaded?

I'm going to try it tommorow. mine keeps going to the Side.
My Nintendo Customer Service Story: During Zelda i noticed that when i made link run and stop he would keep running for no reason. i would have to unplug the nunchuck every time it did this. As weeks went by it happened more and more frequently and i started to get annoyed. After beating Zelda i started playing COD3 and i had the same problem with running. As soon as it happened on COD3 i called nintendo and told what was happening to a guy named Ryan who was very bored at the Nintendo headquarters so he said he would stay on the line until the problem happened again. It was like i was cursed but it never happened when i talked to him. He collected my address and phone number and told me that they were going to send me a new one for free and i didnt have to send the other one back. After talking to him the problem never happened again and now the nunchuck is just fine. I received the new nunchuck 3 days ago. Thank you Nintendo!!! Please do not use my story as a way to get free things.
