Wow, can I call you lucky? I heard once in a 24 hour Wal-Mart people started camping in the tents Wal-Mart was selling in the outdoors section of the store... lol. Anywayz, I suppose you could just ask when their last shipment was, and base the time you go on that information.
our wal-mart is a 24 hour store, and the one lady i talked to said they get shipments about every 4 hours. that's insane to call that often...
We need to come up with a pre-recorded system to call these places every 10 minutes...
-pre-recording: (in monotone, robotic voice) "Hello, electronic department please"
-store employee: "please hold"
-pre-recording: "surely.. beep bop"
-electronic dept: "hello electronic dept, how may i help you?"
-pre-recording: "wii, do you have?"
-electronics dept: (all pissed off and such): "No"
-pre-recording: "do you know when shipment arrive?"
-electronics dept: "No"
-pre-recording: "okay, will call back in approx. 10 minutes to recheck stock.. beep bop"
and the cycle will continue systematically until wii is obtained..
that's VERY doubtful, but worth a shot, since the peons... er, i mean, regular hourly employees... don't seem to know anything.

heh... well, i try to call somewhat regularly, but not overly obsessively. in any case, if i knew for sure when any store would have em, i'd be willing to camp, but i dont want to be out in the cold (or inside, at wal-mart) for hours on end. tomorrow, my friend's manager is supposed to call him (Best Buy) and let him know what the deal is about Wiis this weekend. with any luck, they'll be there, and i can camp for 8 hours to get one.

I called my local Walmart this morning and the electronics dept said they havent recieved anything so I demanded to speak with the Manager. He was as much help as I thought he would be - NONE. He said that he didn't know when the shipments would come in with the wiis. I asked when the deliveries arrive and he said that they come at night and are unpacked at night... Not sure if this is the truth or what??
Hmmm... Well, I'm almost sure that the shipments (at least most of them) are at least unpacked at night, but some shipments could come during the day. Perhaps my assistant manager was smoking something?
I suppose if you need a last resort, you could try Wal-Mart. My assistant manager said he heard it from Nintendo, so maybe he's on to something. Then again, he could be wrong. I'd suggest just waiting for the circular to arrive, or try to find when other Wal-Marts around your area are getting them, since they should be linked.
i JUST got a wii this morning at around 11AM, it's now Noon. Best Buy in Toledo OH has them, and the Wii Seeker said they wouldnt be there until Sunday. so if you wait til then, you may be out of luck. Call or Go to your local best buys NOW.

I was just at the best buy in decatur Illinois. They didn't have any yet but the guy told me they had received word they would be getting a shipmment in the next 10 days so to check back daily. Also said they should get two shipments in January. He said the PS3 would be highlighted in the Sunday ad. I said who wants one of those? I could have bought 7 or 8 of those by now.

Also, I missed my Wii by mere minutes... BB had 9... thanks for the info though... I still have not played or even layed eyes on a Wii that was not a display model. I have not yet touched a wiimote.
Alert: your Target may have Wiis right now!!! According to [Wii] Seeker, a lot of Targets have been getting random Wii shipments! Be sure to call Target continuously to see if they have any! Good luck to all!

ROFL, great response to the PS3 question. If your best buy didn't get the wii today, they will get them either tomorrow or Sunday. Be sure to look for them.
I've been calling Target about the wii shipments, and they said they may get a Wii, controllers, games, or accessories on any random night. Keep looking everybody!
Great news! HOU5TON got his wii today at K-Mart, so if you have bad luck looking for a wii, K-Mart just might be the answer to where you'll get one.
Most if not all of the shipments at Target have been sold out, and they will not be getting one before January 1. Just an FYI.
