If your getting error 209576 (or something to that effect) like me, try manually inputting your DNS in the connection settings, It worked like magic for me (I kept getting 209576 enough time to memorize it)
By the way, my internet is alot faster as well (fast enough, in fact, to post this from my wii)
unfortunately if some ppl didnt find out. i called Nintendo about the connection only to find out that Wii is not compatible with AOL. Nintendo DS will connect but Wii will not. I am going to investigate this because i doubt nintendo would make the connection settings for wii any different from ds. I think the ppl at nintendo that i called blew me off because im a kid. ill find out for sure and giv u all progress.
Did they give you a reason why AOL is incompatable.

Most companies say AOL is incompatible because you need to have quite an advanced computer knowledge to get it to work (unless you have a router, of course)

well I had a similar problem, My Wi found the router abd I was able to recieve updates, but I could not go to the Wii shop channel for some reason, anyway. All I did was change my settings on my router. All I did was change from channel 6 to channel 11 on my settings and it worked. I hope that ur problem will be resolved fast

heh, back before I had a router I had to hook a debugger onto the AOL Dialling program to get the settings I needed to share the connection >_<
Lmao, I think AOL is teh suckage. In some cases (typically most) it bogs down your computer with useless junk and it just is basically one huge problem.
