Wii Available for Purchase 12/29: The Nintendo Wii will again be available for purchase on Amazon.com on 12/29, Friday morning, at some point between 7am and 11am PST. We will be limiting purchases to one per household. We anticipate that we will sell through our inventory very quickly as demand for this product continues to be very high. At this time, we do not have any information on future Nintendo Wii offers, but we will post updates on future availability on this page.

Thought you'd enjoy this. I'll be there.
(didn't see any topics posted, delete/lock if I was wrong. bad habit of that one)
BLAST! Now I wish I did not have $350 in gift cards to BB

If you look at the prices though, they start well above twice its retail value. So unless the prices come down at some point, you gotz t'be CRAZY to spend that kinda money!!

Those are the prices for the Amazon marketplace sellers. When they go on sale from Amazon.com, it will be the retail price.
I am gonna go for it. Now I wish I hadn't stayed up so late.
wow, what a load of bs!!!!!!!!! I was on that site refreshing for like three hours than the were sold out without even seeing anything. i'm so mad at myself for doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bunch of bs
it turned out of stock all of a sudden
didnt even see anything available
i know what a load of crap!!!!!!!!
i went to the nearest bestbuy in my area...nothing as well
they got wii in YESTERDAY...not 29th
BS too
Wow you guys are so funny, it's not BS. Anybody realize the possiblity of it selling out quickly? World doesn't revolve around, sorry guys.
It was worth the try, assuming you didn't have anything better to do. I'm just sitting here on break. Why not try it, is what I thought.
Sold out 10 seconds faster than I expected.
Hey Dest thanks for the Rep!
I stalked the online retailers for about three weeks, and finally found a bundle on gamestop.com. I mean everyday using three or four wii trackers-----constantly up on my screen. It was a ridiculous obsession but worth every moment.
If it helps at all I believe that it is getting a little easier to find them online. If you just keep that 'xpbargains' site up and going.....even put the URL in the refreshthing site to auto refresh you will eventually find one.
I still check the sites occasionally, if I come across one available I will throw it out in a thread here like I did with Sams Club this AM. You have to be quick though....they usually last for about 15-20 minutes.

So I'm not the only one?
I had Opera auto-refresh every 2 seconds and I was watching it like a hawk. All of a sudden it went from "soon in stock" to "sold out", and then it jumped back and forth between the two which was strange, but not once did it say that there were Wiis in stock.
I was also on the page refreshing every three seconds from 7:50AM to 11:30 central time. I did not see any buy now or 1-click order buttons ever. The message continued to change all morning from selling sometime today, to we sold out on Nov. 19th, and later on to two different sold out messages, so confusing. Eventually I looked down at the page and saw two people who got one, one guy who got two or three(so much for that one per household rule), and a TON of disappointed people. It sounds like they didn't even have twenty. Amazing. Thank you Amazon for reminding my why I don't order from you unless I have to.
That's cool, though. I've decided to put my Wii plans on hold until some more good games come out and I don't have to be one of the million people hassling all those poor employees. I already have a 360 and a DS I barely have time for, and I can put the money into my upcoming computer I'm gonna build. That'll be even more fun.
It's so stupid. A local Best Buy which supplies a city of 600,000 - 700,000 people got 18 Wiis in that single store alone.
Amazon, an online retailer which must supply millions gets 20-ish.

The reason the pages jumped back and forth was some poor server communication. Each time you access amazon, you're directed to a server, and generally not the same, either. Certain servers were updated faster than others, and some got certain updates at different speeds. It was rather ridiculous.
