does anyone know how long it's supposed to take for the wii to update?!??!
it can range. mine took about 5 min. but my wireless connection is weak in my room.
i don't think the progress bar is moving. what do i do???
do microwaves mess it up? because there is one about 20 feet away.
the progress bar has not moved in 30 minutes. any advice would be helpful.
is there a way to safely restart an update?
so I said a prayer, unplugged the wii, brought it downstairs to the same room as the wireless router, and so far, it lives!

I think it's supposed to be every 5 seconds on average, not sure. Think that it's just a situational problem.
well anyway, it updated smoothly so far, i am able to do everything on the menus and such.
my router and my living room are at the opposite ends of my house. i think it lost signal.
Congrats. I geuss that would only make sense. Any idea what your signal length is?
What updates were you doing when it failed the first time? If not the system update and if it were just the opera browser or weather channel update then no biggie. Also, sometimes it looks like it has stopped updating and then it will continue to update but not 30 mins long. Good Luck with it, hope it works for you.
