A couple of buddies of mine dropped by a Toys R Us in the middle of the day, and found that they had just gotten a shipment of Wii's and PS3's. They snagged 2 Wii's for themselves, as they have been looking for a while, and watched as all of the other Wii's were grabbed within 15 minutes. They just happen to be there at the right time, and much of getting a Wii will be just that for the next few months (though it will get easier, but still luck is needed).
Of course, you could always ask someone knowledgable if they know when the next order is due. Most stores receive shipments of certain products on specific days, and those shipments generally come at certain times during those days (this way they can schedule stockers accordingly, otherwise shipments would arrive at random times and they may not have the staff to work them).
BTW, the PS3's at TRU did not get touched while every single Wii sold while they were there.

I understand his anger, I want a Wii too, I've waiting in lines, been lied to, the whole nine yards and I still don't have one. Am I supposed to respond to this post by giving him sympathy or something?
P.S. TRU got a few Wiis in yesterday afternoon, a few hours after my Dad went there to check, and they sold the last one a few minutes before he came back to check this morning.

Thanks, Lemon. I just needed to vent my frustration, but appearently people aren't mature enough to handle reading that on their computer. Oh, well.
z6joker, it's actually kind of ironic how this is all working. I can guarentee you that most people thought it would be completly the other way around. I tried explaining this PS3 sales conudrum to a friend of mine's yesterday, but he was completely denying it. All he was responded with "That's just stupid. Wii sucks. It's a f* T.V. remote for your controler, wtf (yes he really said wtf)." Oh well.
