It's all over the news. I could care less. Not that I agree with what he did but I don't think the US should go around policing the world. It's not like it really affects their national security (Afghanistan had it's reasons and a base). There are certain parts of Bowling for Columbine that open up your eyes to how the US used to supply and train the terrorists (although I recently reasized that movie is 70% biased BS).

not much good can be said about saddam, but i must admit he compares favorably to the current state of affairs in iraq. the united states and it's puppet gov't in iraq have left many people w/o jobs, shelter, food, running water, electricity and sewage. iraq may have been a developing nation, but at least in urban areas, these existed pre-invasion. and previously you only had to fear saddam if you were a political dissenter or a kurd... now people are arrested and held for months, often under torture, w/o any charges even being brought against them. no wonder why some iraqi's were calling for saddam to be reinstated.

Oh I know it says they're going to execute him, but I wanna see him dead. Kinda morbid, but hey, I won't believe it otherwise.

Not going, have. It came as a shock to me too but it's happened. On every major news channel here. He was hung like a regular death row inmate with a black sack over his head, overalls, and a noose around his neck.
No video or pics though, and I don't think they allowed any to be taken. They wanted to keep it quite.
I don't think they'd allow the release of such pictures if they even existed.

Well I don't see the punishment being severe enough. He was a murderer plain and simple. I would have made him play X-2 with a 50 cent album playing in the background while forcing him to wear a Rikku cosplay costume. That would have set an example.
Oh that is possibly the worst punishment I have ever heard. Lol, perhaps that would have been the better thing to do.

Blah that would suck...I really don't feel like getting shipped over to Iraq. Half of these damn problems in iraq are al qaida related more so than ex republican guard related. Same in afganistan which is taliban and al qaida....woot for obliterating another top taliban leader in afganistan too.

i've seen the full video clip. it's just weird that they do the hangning in a dim-lit room with a shitty camera from the 90's. not only that, but the cameraman was more interested in the stairs grating than the actual execution, ffs. i hope the US can somehow get dna samples to make sure that it was saddam and not one of his imposters.
