If you do, it is crucial to just take a trip to Rockefeller Plaza. I was at Nintendo World last week and they have every controller in HIGH abundance. Especially the Classic. The Nunchuk's go fast, however within minutes of the Chuk's selling out they shelve more of them.
I don't know how scarce they are at typical retailers now, but if they are the way they were around release and you live in the NY area it's more than worth it to take a trip there. Especially to get your DS engraved with Toad on top of it all.
