I bought the pelican ones. They're only $20 (I was impatient and didn't want to wait for others and they were the first ones I found). If you ask me, the improvement is certainly noticeable on my TV (50" Sony SXRD 1080p)

Doesnt really matter what u get the wii output a 480 p signal which isnt a hi def signal just progressive instead of interlaced so the quailty is just a little better than b4. as long as their component they are gonna be better looking but the cheaper ones are gonna look as good as a monster cable one just a thinner wallet

I've only tried the Nintendo ones as well but curious to see how the quality is with the other two.

I always go with the official when I can. I suggest you go with the NOA cables. I've got them, and they are great!

PQ-wise I wouldn't expect much difference if any between them. In addition to price and availability, you might consider the length of each brand. If I recall correctly, one brand was 2m which is a lot of wire if you don't need it.

I have the official nintendo ones, I dont really like to buy 3rd party accesories for a game console unless it is a stand or a controller glove.

think stores like walmart will carry either/or the NOA version and the madkatz
i would like to look them over before purchasing

hey i just got the component cables (i ordered them off the nintendo website, and they arrived in less than a week! very surprising!)
But im having a problem. My TV has the component input and all, and they worked fine color display-wise, but when i went to the wii options to switch the display to 480p, the picture goes all haywire...
I assumed the progressive and component for some reason went hand in hand.. but i guess i was wrong.. Or am i missing something else in my set up? any ideas?
or should i be returning these cords?

You probably have to set your TV to progressive mode. Check your options menu.

hey, i got my hacked cable working, i can switch between component and s-video, and the picture looks great!

question. i've had the components (React) for a month now, and they look great. but every time Zelda goes to a white screen between scenes, i notice a bunch of faint vertical lines on the screen all the way across. barely noticeable, but they're there. i didn't know if this is normal, or could my cables be bad? i'd like to get the best picture possible. thanks!

I have MadCatz and i think the picture looks great with em.

no, like i said it's hooked up with component (which is progressive). it's actually an HDTV.
it might just be artifacts, or maybe the output is just too sharp during the white screen, i don't know.

you know, you actually have to enable progressive MODE in the wii's settings.

for example: i have my wii hooked up via component cables, but my tv does not support progressive scan. it is not an automatic feature. if it was, the cables wouldn't work.
